Main characters Gregory- Gregory is the middle child in the Heffley family, andhe is the star of all of the books, he is THE WIMPY KID! Rodrick- Rodrick is the oldest sibling. He always pushes Gregaround and he is a drummer for his heavy metal band. Manny- Manny is the youngest, just starting preschool. Hisparents always baby him and treat him like a king. Mr. Heffley- He is the junk food loving father of the family.Always being let down by his wimpy kids. Mrs. Heffley- she is the sometimes embarrassing but lovingmother of the family. Rowley- Rowley is the dimwitted, accident prone best friendof Greg.
Setting The setting takes place in a fictional suburburban neighborhood.
Point of View The story is told in a first person point of viewbecause Greg is telling it as he writes it in hisdiary.
Theme The theme is life has many surprises and youjust have to go with the flow and take it as itcomes.
