Many courses are open entry/openexit format. Registration is required for allprograms and courses. ESL and AcademicPrograms classes are free. Lifelong Educationcourses are self-supporting, fee-basedcourses. Materials and book fees vary for eachcourse and are subject to change. Checks,VISA, MasterCard, or Discover are acceptedexcept where noted.Students can register for Grossmont AdultEducation courses in person or online.1. For registration, enrollment, and refundinformation about HOC Medical Careercourses, go to hoc.guhsd.net or call theHealth Occupations Center at(619) 956-4300. For HOC refund policies,go to hoc.guhsd.net.2. For walk-up registration, go to anyGrossmont Adult Education campus.3. For registration online, goto adultschool.guhsd.net/ and click on the“START HERE” tab. Once you have clicked the “STARTHERE” tab, complete and submitthe form. A Transition Specialist will contact youwithin 48 hours and help you obtainpermission to login and register for aclass. (See also pg. 3 in this catalog.) Create or login to your account. Select your class. You may browse bysubject areas in the menu on the left. After you have located yourcourse, click on “Register Now,” toregister for the course. If a fee isassociated with the course, youwill be required to pay by VISA,MasterCard or Discover. Your creditcard statement will reflect a chargefrom A.S.A. Online Registration.4. Courses may be closed due to low or lackof continued enrollment. A full refund willbe made if Grossmont Adult Educationcancels a course.5. Refund Policies Students must request a refund priorto the end of the second-class meetingby calling (619) 588-3500 or coming tothe Foothills office. No refunds permitted after thesecond course meeting. There will be 5 processing fee for allcourses 149 or less. There will be a 25 processing fee forall courses 150 or more. There will be a 25 processing fee forcustomer-initiated reverse charges ona credit card. To avoid this fee, pleasecontact the office for a refund.6.
