Offshore wind mill installation - survey challengesThe challenges may be: Access Accuracy Position Inclination Orientation Automatic data transmitting Equipment Guiding Instant reporting Live / real-time monitoring Mobilization time Offshore surveying10 Safety

Monopile Installation Positioning Global position (GPS) Verticality (Total station) Elevation (GPS) Crane monitoring during uplift (Two total stations online) On line monitoring during piling With ParkerPMS Documentation Final report with position, elevation, roll and pitch11

Offshore windmill installation – TP - survey challengesOur solution had to meet these specifications:12Heading / Orientation:Better than 2,5 degreesRoll and pitch / Inclination:Better than 0,25 degreesJacking advice:To meet the specificationsReporting:Immediate report after ”set down” plus final reportLogging:Store all data to enable post processing if required

Offshore windmill installation – TP - survey challengesWe decided to use: GPS / Glonass for heading Glonass option added due to obstructions and demand for 100% continuous monitoring High precision inclinometer for roll / pitch (Inclination) (and heave) – we used MRU 5 Heave option added for post processing if unexpected heave occurred Later we added Gyro with motion sensor 2,4 Ghz radio link 2,4 Ghz does not require license ParkerPMS for data presentation and complete data logging In house software system adapted for the monitoring and reporting13
