The mostexciting thing for me,Teresa MaloneBe A Part Of TheAAP Experience!though, has been meeting you–the nurses who servehere in Mississippi.Speaking of excitement, I hope to meet evenmore of you at our upcoming convention in Biloxi, scheduled for October 16 through the 19th. With thisyear’s theme, Nursing: Our Kaleidoscope of Health, the 2012 MNA convention promises to be a wonderfulopportunity to receive continuing education, learnwhat’s new from experts and leaders in the healthcaredelivery industry, and network with your colleaguesfrom across the State, all while enjoying the greatfood and fun that the Mississippi Coast has to offer!I want to recognize some of the many individuals whoare helping to make this special event possible–themembers of the Convention Planning Committee andProvider Unit. Frequently you hear a group describedas they “worked hard,” “devoted much time” andother similar sayings. Such compliments simply donot do justice to the dedication of these members. Thebest way I know how to describe these individualsis “they have put their heart and soul” into makingthis convention the best it can be for the nurses inMississippi. When you leave a session and think howmuch you enjoyed it, when you go on the cruise andthink how much fun you had, when you walk into areception and think how nice it looks–remember thesenurses. As you enjoy the many exciting aspects of the2012 Convention, please let these nurses know howmuch you appreciate the time and energy they havecommitted to helping make this event a success.I am honored to be a part of this great team, and pledge to work as hard as I can to continue thetradition of professionalism and excellence for whichMNA is known.
