Spectators are welcome to attend.Attention Owners/Exhibitors of Foreign Registered DogsIf you are the owner/exhibitor of a dog registered with a foreign registry (not yet dual registered with AKC)please review the eligibility requirements in The Rules Applying to Dog Shows, chapter 11 section 1.The dog show rules are posted on the AKC Web site at t important to note are the following:1. Dogs must be individually registered with the American Kennel Club by the day of the event to beeligible for exhibit in the Bred by Exhibitor class.2. Dogs are eligible to compete in AKC events using the foreign registration for a period of 30 days. That30-day period begins with the date of first exhibit, regardless of whether the dog earned any pointsor awards. To continue to compete in AKC events beyond the initial 30-day period the dog must beeither individually AKC registered or by the date of the event have been granted an extension to exhibitusing the foreign registration. Notice to ExhibitorsVehicle lights must be left on while loading and unloading.With the exception of Handicapped and official club business, motorized scooters will not beallowed.All persons and animals on the event grounds at any time while the events are in progress,do by attending these events or participating therein, grant to the clubs, or in persons to whomassignments of such rights have been made in writing by authorized officers of the clubs, the rightto photograph, televise, audiotape or otherwise use their likeness and voice in any manner withoutfurther release or consent.The kennel clubs are not responsible for the actions or products of the commercial vendors atthese events.Warning: Due to incidences that have occurred at other shows, we highly recommend that youdo not leave dogs unattended in cars, exercise pens or motor homes; and we suggest that yousecure your crates for the safety of your dogs.No retractable/flexible leads allowed near the show rings.NO SAVING OF PARKING SPACES.The welfare of an exhibitor’s child is assumed to be the responsibility of the exhibitor. It is distinctlyunderstood that exhibitors will exercise control and restraint over their children on each day of theevents.Parents must be responsible for their children. All attendees (officials, judges, stewards,exhibitors and all workers) are required to follow state, local and facility guidelinesin effect at the time of the event.2. EXPOSURE TO COVID-19. If you have been recently in the presence of a personwho has either tested positive for Covid-19 or has symptoms (coughing, sneezing,temperature), please stay home. Every ring will have ringside crating available in designated areasonly. Each ring will have an entrance and an exit gate to cut down on traffic. Eachring will also have tables for self-serve ring numbers and for ribbons and trophies.6. NO OVERNIGHT CRATING DUE TO COVID-19, SO THAT BUILDING CAN BEDEEP-CLEANED EACH NIGHT.7. AKC Sanctioned4 & Under 6 Months Puppy CompetitionMiddleburg Kennel Club - WednesdayEntry Fee: 20.00 per puppyOne combined class will be offered for breeds and varieties of dogs that are (4) four months & under (6) six months and dividedinto Groups as described in Chapter 3, Section 1 of the Rules Applying to Dog Shows and the Miscellaneous Class breeds aslisted in Chapter 3, Section 23. There will be a selection of Best 4 & Under 6 Months Puppy in each Breed/Variety, eachBest 4 & Under 6 Months Puppy in Breed/Variety winner will then compete in their respective group for First through FourthPlacements. The Miscellaneous Class Competition will be judged same as above followed by a Miscellaneous 4 & Under 6Months Puppy Group Competition. The Foundation Stock Service Class Competition will be judged same as above followedby a FSS 4 & Under 6 Months Puppy Group Competition. All First Place Group Winners will be eligible to compete in Best 4 &Under 6 Months Puppy in Show.An AKC registration number or AKC litter number will be required for entries of an AKC recognized breed or Miscellaneous breed.FSS number or FSS registered litter number will be required for FSS entries.A foreign born dog may enter this class if they are registered in the country of origin.Dogs are required to be vaccinated (including rabies) in accordance with their veterinarian's protocol in order to avoid inadvertenttransmission of illness by/to puppies not yet fully immunized.Dogs that are owned or co-owned by a professional handler may compete in this class, but must be handled by a non-professionalhandler. Professional handlers are defined as any person who belongs or has belonged to a professional handlers' organization,distributed rate cards, or otherwise advertised or represented themselves as handling dogs for pay within the last five years. Dogsmay not be exhibited by current assistants and household members of a professional handler. A current assistant is defined asanyone employed by a professional handler on a full-time basis, or, assisting a professional handler at the show or any showduring the cluster/weekend. Minors (under 18) with amateur status who reside with professional handlers and current assistantsto professional handlers that are eligible to compete in Junior Showmanship (meet age & amateur status requirements) maypersonally exhibit dogs in 4 & Under 6 Months Puppy Competition.AKC Rules in Dealing with Misconduct will be applicable to any person and dog entered at this competition.
