This marks the33rd consecutive month of doubledigit RPK growth. However, thevery strong upward SA traffic trendhas slowed since the unexpected‘demonetisation’ in November 2016,in line with the wider impact thatthis looks to have had on economicactivity. Business confidence surveyshave recovered somewhat in recentmonths, particularly on the servicesside. However, the upward trendin domestic RPKs has slowed to anannualised rate of around 7 per centover the past six months.January-June, 2017, informed Christine Mukharji, Market ManagerIndia, Austrian National Tourism Office (ANTO).
