Safety Manual Today- Small Business ISNetworld Compliance Specialistswebsite: www.SafetyManualToday.comemail: conrad@safetymanualtoday.comAdding a Client to Your ISNetworld AccountOne benefit of an ISNetworld subscription is that there are no extra fees if you decide to add additionalclients into your ISN account. Once you have an ISNetworld subscription, you can add as many clients as youlike. Having one client in your ISN account will cost the same amount as having 50 clients in your ISNaccount.Having clients added to your account can be difficult and ISNetworld themselves don't facilitate this process. The clients themselves will need to login to ISNetworld and make the connection between your twocompanies. For example, if you want to add Valero to your ISN account, somebody at Valero, and notISNetworld, would need to login to their ISNetworld account, which is much different than your ISN account, and make the connection. The hardest part of having clients added into an ISNetworld account is finding the employee at your client’scompany that can make this connection. Here are 3 different strategies to assist with this process:Strategy 1If you have a company contact at your potential client’s company, start with them. Send them an emailabout making a connection in ISNetworld between your two companies. Make sure to include your ISNaccount number (it’s at the top of the screen when you login to your ISN account and it starts with "400-".)Strategy 2If you don’t know anybody at the company you would like to work for, try finding a contact viaLinkedIn.com. Usually the employee that is in charge of making ISNetworld connections works in Safety orHuman Resources. Search for people in LinkedIn that work for your target client. Sort through the list andlook for employees that work in Safety or Human Resources. Once you find a couple of employees that fitthis description, send them a "connect" request. With a "connect" request, you are allowed to include ashort note. Make sure to include a note that is similar to this:"Hi (input person’s name), we are trying to make a connection with (input client’s company name) inour ISNetworld account. Could you please point us in the right direction and tell us who at (clientscompany name) can assist us with this."You may have to send out several "connect" request before you find someone that is willing to help.4

Safety Manual Today- Small Business ISNetworld Compliance Specialistswebsite: www.SafetyManualToday.comemail: conrad@safetymanualtoday.comStrategy 3Ask fellow business owners that might already work for the client you are trying to add to your ISNetworldaccount. They may have a contact person at your target client’s company that can assist you with this. Ifyou are a sub-contractor, ask the contractor for the name of the contact person of their client that assistedthem with making the ISNetworld connection between their two companies. The hardest part of making a connection in your ISNetworld account with your new client is finding theemployee that works for your potential client that can make this connection happen. Persistence is the keyhere and spending an hour or two per week on this process can produce significant revenue for yourcompany down the road.5
