Vice-Chairperson, Derek Westley, called the meeting to order at 1:30 p.m.Members present: Aundrea Allen, Ted Bangs, Cathy Beane, Andrea Collins, Bess Dickson, ChuckEdwards, Jaclyn England, John Gallent, Kalani Hooker, Sandra McKimmey, Lori Miles, MollyPennington, Eric Scholl, Doug Selzer, Chris Soignier, Patty Tafoya Valenzuela, Coleman Taylor,Melanie Thomas, Keith Tobas, Carol Verhey, Derek Westley and Camile White.Absences: Ric Shanahan, Jennifer Clark, Connor Cromeens, Cathy Mitchell, Keesha Moore,Travis-Lee Moore, Tasha Penson, and Joshua VernonGuests: Adrainne Prince and Gary NordlingStaff: Cathy Faulkner (MLS Director), and Lisa Davis (Recording Clerk.)Summary of Committee BusinessVice-Chairperson, Derek Westley, welcomed the Committee members.The December 2018 minutes were reviewed and filed as presented.The 2019 Business Plan was reviewed.A sub-committee to develop a “Tip of The Month” was created. Derek Westley, Doug Selzer,Chris Soignier, and Coleman Taylor will serve on this sub-committee.The committee will address the GMMLS Bylaw to address the purpose of the MLS areameetings as related to their original intent. Some members of some of the original groups willbe invited to a future meeting to compare the meetings now to the meetings of the originalfounders.No action was taken on a request to add a field that would denote that the property is close toa bus stop.

The following motions were made, seconded, and passed:A motion was made, seconded, and passed to forward to the User Committee a request to haveeffective messaging when a client goes back to review a listing in their portal that no longermatches their search criteria (current message: “This listing is no longer available”) Newmessage “The property criteria has changed. Please contact your Agent”A motion was made, seconded, and passed to forward a request to the NTREIS User Committeeto add Pet Policy feature group to the CloudMLX platform for Residential Lease.Items of InformationCathy Faulkner gave the Committee an update from the NTREIS User CommitteeNTREIS User Committee Updates:i. Approved expansion of the Pets Y/N field to a pick list field called “PetPolicy”. Options will be Breed Restrictions, Call, Cats OK, Dogs OK, NoPets Allowed, Number Limit, Size Limit, Yes Pets Allowed.ii. The number of team members allowed in the Matrix Team featurewill be raised to 50 (this is the maximum for the system)iii. Recommendations from the NTREIS Auction Task Force (Exhibit #4)iv. A new required field (approved by the NTREIS Users Group) has beenadded to the Residential, Residential Lease and Multi-Family propertytype input displays. It is a yes/no field called “Smart Home FeaturesApp or Password Dependent”.(Exhibit #5)Bess Dickson informed the Committee that her area had Phil Crone with the Dallas BuildersAssociation as a speaker. She reported that he was a great speaker with good information.Cathy Faulkner reminded the Committee about the upcoming Property Management Seminar“So, You Want to Do Property Management?” on February 25th at 10 am.Cathy Faulkner discussed with the Committee adding FIRPTA information to the MLS data and itwas the consensus of the Committee not to add the information at this time.

Exhibit #2MetroTex Association of REALTORS 2019 GMMLS – MLS Committee Business PlanCommitteePurpose:This committee’s purpose is to address a diverse array of MLS issues. The respective MLSareas appoint committee members, and the MetroTex president-elect appoints additionalmembers at large. This committee deals with everything that insures proper and efficientfunctioning of the MLS system. Complaints, statistical reports, technology, keyboxes &keycards, rules and regulations are just a few of the issues that this committee has to handle.Committee members must be GMMLS subscribers. GMMLS committee members are alsoresponsible for organizing and overseeing their local MLS meeting and tour for the MLS areathey will represent.Objective(s)1. Continue to support the MLS Area Meetings to engage MetroTexmembers in the various market areas of the Association.(Goal 3)2. Create a “Tip of the Month” on topics related to the best use of the MLSor member tips and tricks to help members use the MLS effectively.(Goal 3)Performance Measure-Increase attendance by 10% over2018 to ensure that the area meetingscontinue to reach MLS Subscribersand Participants in their respectiveareas.-MLS Committee members willcontribute a “tip or trick” during theMLS committee meeting. CommitteeMembers will be encouraged to asktheir area meeting attendees for inputon this subject.-At least 6 topics will becommunicated to the membershipthrough Facebook Live.3. Review the structure of the MLS Area meetings to make sure they existfor the purpose they were originally intended.(Goal 3)-During the 1st quarter of 2019,convene a sub-committee that willreview the current structure of theMLS Area Meetings.-The review is intended to make surethat the meetings exist for thepurposed they were originallyintended.
