role below the registered professionals and can be found in therapies, nursing, social care or inhybrid roles (with more than one of these elements). They can manage their own case load of non-complex cases under the indirect supervisionof a registered professional. They can lead a team of health care support workers and provide coaching to more juniorroles e.g. those undertaking the Care Certificate or Level 2/3 Apprenticeships in healthcare. They are educated to be challenging and to question processes and techniques for thebenefits of continually improving patient/service user care. Their roles can be designed to meet a specific area of need or service provision e.g.discharge co-ordination or running clinics. APs are encouraged to continually build their professional profile through CPD e.g.developing specialist knowledge in specific subject areas such as diabetes care, wound care,stroke rehabilitation etc.Individuals who have completed the Foundation Degree in Healthcare Practice, will be able to enrolonto the 18 month flexible nursing programme that is delivered by UCS. Has your Guardianreceived a training refresher in the last 12 months? We are providing sessions facilitated by DilysJones, at three venues in Suffolk. Cost per person is lower than the training sessions in London and

Manchester, so if you need to get up to date with your Caldicott training, please get in touch to bookon to a session.As a reminder, undergoing Caldicott training is not a one-off. It is an annual requirement as laws andguidance change and a regular update is essential.
