March 2019Page 1Message from the President .This past month of February,the 2019 TEXAS REALTORS Winter Meeting was held in Austin.Let me tell you, Greater Metro WestAssociation of REALTORS got a lotof attention and awards! In our BoardCategory, we tied for First Place forJanet100% participation with Laredo, forChismTREPAC investors. The other awardwe won was for the work that our GovernmentalAffairs Committee, along with other members, didall year long with our “Stop InvoluntaryAnnexation-Tier 2” campaign. If you wereinvolved, you know how amazing that all cametogether!In March there are several opportunities for CEhours at our local association office. Topics like:Home Staging & Make Ready Improvements,CMA’s-Getting the Basics, Psychology of SalesNegotiation and a few others. Stay close and getthose CE hours.March 26th is “REALTOR Day at the Capitol” inAustin. This is a chance for us to visit Capitol Hilland talk to your State Rep or other officials. Thereis always a great BBQ lunch at the TAR building,(ticket required) so make reservations for thisthrough GMWAR. It is really impressive to seehow many REALTORS show up each year tokeep reiterating to our State Government just howpowerful we are and proactive with the issues ofthe day that affect property owners, real estatelicensee’s, real estate transactions, and more.Hope you will plan to attend.Don’t forget our 3rd Annual Bowling Tournament inApril – it is filling up fast! This has been a greatfundraiser for TREPAC the past 2 years, and Iknow it will be this year. If you pay for a team of 5for 250.00, it will go towards your TREPACinvestment this year and earn you the “Lone StarStatesman” Investor Award. March 2019Matrix Improvements& UpdatesPage 4NTREIS Board of Directors approveagreementfor HAR Pro mobile appTuesday, February 26th (overnightMonday).This upgrade includes some bug fixes to printingand makes adjustments to some mappingfunctions in preparation for changes Google willbe making to mapping next month.Matrix Team FunctionsMatrix teams configuration will be changed tocomply with RESO standards functions. Work hasbegun on the configuration and is expected to becompleted on March 13; there may be a periodduring the final cutover day that no teams may beadded or edited. Under the new setup, only MLSstaff will be able to edit Teams and we will provideadditional information on Best Practices, notingthat Team Names will be visible on Customerreports.Market ReportsImproved Market Share Reports enable reportingat the firm level are now available forBrokers.Sunset of InnoviaThe Innovia product will be discontinued - soon asunset date for this product will be set. so ALLInnovia IDX users NEED to transition to the Matrixlinks.Save the Date: NTREIS will host theNotorious R.O.B., Rob Hahn for apresentation on Thursday March 7thfrom 1:00pm to 3:00m at the IrvingConvention Center. TheNTREIS Board felt that this cooperative agreementwill position the app to drive additional traffic andprovide rankings comparable to that achieved inthe Houston market.The agreement is pending legal review and someadditional data mapping tasks.
