PROGRAM PURPOSEObjectivesFundingOpportunityDescription1. Implement innovative service deliverystrategies to address economic andworkforce-related impacts2. Provide training, placement, and supportactivities to Dislocated Workers, NewEntrants in the Workforce, IncumbentWorkers, and those affected by SUD3. Align and integrate workforcedevelopment initiatives with state,regional, or community economicdevelopment strategies4. Develop and expand industry partnerships5. Provide or facilitate delivery of supportservices

Eligibility Information Applicants must demonstrate that theyare serving eligible participants who liveand work in the DRA/ARC regions Applicants may train for jobs outsideDRA/ARC region, but must clearlydemonstrate successful employment willnot require relocation outside of DRA/ARCregion
COST SHARING AND LEVERAGEDRESOURCESEligibilityInformation WORC does not require cost sharing ormatching funds It is strongly encouraged for projects to leverageresources with partners and other stakeholders Resources contributed to the project beyondthe funds provided by the agency consideredleveraged resources
NUMBER OF APPLICATIONSEligibilityInformation Only one application from each organization willbe considered for funding Applicant organizations can be included as apartner on other applications
ELIGIBLE PARTICIPANTSEligibilityInformation New Entrants: Individuals who have neverworked before or have been out of theworkforce long enough time to make it as if theyare entering the workforce for the first time Dislocated Workers: Individuals who wereterminated or laid-off or have received a noticeof termination or lay-off from employment; orthose who were self-employed but nowunemployed (WIOA sec. 3(15)) Incumbent Workers: Individuals who arecurrently employed and need training to securefull-time employment, advance in their careers,or retain their current positions
