Starting in themid 1990s, MikroTik released routerOS as a PC based routing platform, and in 2002began manufacture of their own hardware platform: RouterBoard. From smallbeginnings, MikroTik now employs more than 150 full time personnel and shipsproduct around the world.MikroTik Certified Training program curriculum is developed and managed byMikroTik and delivered around the world via a network of independent trainingpartners certified and authorised by MikroTik. In Australia, DuxTel offers authorisedcertification training by our own team of Certified MikroTik Trainers, and sometimesalso in partnership with authorised trainers from various countries includingIndonesia, South Africa and Australia.

Since starting oneof the first commercial ISPs in Geelong during the 1990's,Mike has specialised in the field of Internet services andinfrastructure. This hands-on training program covers all aspects of RouterOS functions andfeatures. In this course, you will learn about the full capabilities of the MikroTikplatform and how those functions and features are applicable to real-worldscenarios.Classes consist of trainer-led discussion and demonstrations, with significant timeset aside for hands-on practical exercises designed to provide the basic skillsrequired for day to day data network operations, with extension activities andchallenges for the more experienced participants.MTCWE (MikroTik Certified Wireless Engineer):Dates: Thursday July 25 to Saturday July 27 inclusiveClass Times: 9:00am to 5:30pm (times may vary day-to-day depending on classprogress)Morning tea with light snacks and refreshment is provided on each dayLight lunch is provided each dayCourse Content:Presented over 3 full days of training, this course includes hands-on lab exerciseswith detailed instruction on all open standard and proprietary wireless protocolsincluding setup, tuning and management of point to point, point to multipoint andmesh networks.Includes certification exam and online certificate.MTCIPv6E (MikroTik Certified IPv6 Engineer):Dates: Thursday July 25 to Saturday July 27 inclusiveClass Times: 8:30am to 5:30pm (times may vary day-to-day depending on classprogress)Morning tea with light snacks and refreshment is provided on each dayLight lunch is provided each dayCourse Content:Presented over 3 full days of training, this course includes hands-on lab exerciseswith detailed instruction of all IPv6 functionality offered by MikroTik RouterOS.Starting from the ground up, basic IPv6 addressing and comparison with IPv4 topicsis covered through to IPv6 security and implementation/migration strategies.Includes certification exam and online certificate.

What to Bring:All Participants MUST BRING:Laptop computer with Wi-Fi capability and ethernet port. Windows PC isrecommended, but MacOS with WINE to run WinBox is also satisfactory andwe have had reports of success with Mac or-mac/Laptop computer power supply – with adapter tosuit Australian Power socket (type I – refer toimages) if required.At least two Ethernet patch cables (up to 3m)Internet access will be supplied via the class Wi-Fi router for use during trainingsessions and for completing the online certification exam at the end of the final dayof training.A training materials pack will also be supplied at the beginning of the first day,including printed training notes, writing pad and writing materials.

Exitthe airport following the signs to the city/M2.Follow the freeway for approximately 16.5 Km through the iconic sound tunnelelevated road then take exit 4 to merge onto Dynon Road.Simply follow Dynon Road (which soon becomes Spencer Street) for 3 Km to theEast and South, watching for the unmissable Southern Cross Station on your right.Once you have arrived at Southern Cross Station, the Batman’s Hill venue is on yourleft after the traffic lights at Collins Street.

Car Parking at the VenueBatman’s Hill on Collins has limited parking on site as well as overflow arrangementswith a nearby parking tower only one city block away. Parking for training delegatesis available at a discounted conference rate of 20 per day, or 30 includingovernight stay.
