Some earlier boards can beconverted or a new processor board can be purchased. Contact yourlocal IGT service representative for details.Game King Release 5 game programs have the followingcharacteristics: On-screen game play instructions and error messages Touchscreen buttons – appear on the screen when their functionis relevant during game play, testing and diagnostics Player panel switches – illuminate when their function isrelevant during game play, testing and diagnostics Software-enabled options – game speed, visual and/or attractmodes, sound volume, and background color Game options – on-screen viewing of accounting, diagnostics,play history, event logs, modify meters, setup, game tests, andout of service Key chip feature – prevents unauthorized changes to sensitiveoptions such as denomination and game selection Built-in diagnostic capabilities – automatic software review andtechnician-controlled diagnostic steps that allow the testing ofplayer switches, touchscreen, hopper, coin acceptor, billacceptor, access door switches, sound effects, and voucherprinter Test routines for quick diagnostics and problem resolutionEntering the Operator and Attendant Menus To enter the Attendant menu, turn the reset key while themachine is idle with no coins bet. The machine cannot be in a tiltcondition. IntroductionGAME SOFTWARE: GAME KING RELEASE 5Service Light OperationThe optional IGT service light (candle), located on the top of themachine enclosure, indicates various modes or game conditions whenthe machine power is on. Refer to the appropriate troubleshootingmanual for typical messages that a service light communicates.Screen NavigationUse the buttons on the touchscreen video monitor to navigate throughthe various menus and options. Two screen buttons are common to allvideo displays: The [EXIT] button returns the user to the previous screen ormenu. The [RETURN TO GAME] button returns the machine to thegame screen displayed prior to entering the menu.In general, menu items appearing in yellow have been selected andmenu items appearing in blue have not been selected.Help text accompanies setup, diagnostic and modification screens. A[HELP] button is provided on the Comm Channel Analyzer screen toprovide detailed explanations of the text that is displayed. Refer toSection 1.3 on page 9, On-Screen Help, for additional information.Blue option buttons appear on the menus. Touching one of thesebuttons causes the button to turn yellow and brings up another menuor displays the selected function's screen. The yellow buttons and pathlines indicate progress through the menus.A blue information display window appears in the center of the screenwhen the Operator or Attendant menu is first entered. This windowprovides information about current machine faults (e.g., tilts and errorhandling). The window disappears when any screen button is touchedto make room for menu operation.Display of Meter DataAll meters are right- or decimal-justified. Linear meters may be up to10 digits with a maximum value of 1,000,000,000. Monetary meters aredisplayed in number of lowest usable monetary units in the correctformat for that currency. Meters in percentage format (100.00%) maybe up to five digits.4August 18, 2005

This functionModify Meters can be performed only when the coin cash box or billacceptor cash box is open, and is typically performed whenchanging games or filling the hopper.SetupIncludes steps available to set machine-wide preferencesand game-specific preferences and enrollment setup. TheSetup option is available only from the Operator menu. TheAttendant menu allows access to the Sound Setup optiononly.Sound SetuponlyDisplays “Out of Service” on the video monitor to render aOut of Service machine inoperative without turning the power off.
