User guideStarting the phoneUsing the headset:After the One Talk phone is connected to a network andsupplied with power, it will automatically begin the initializationprocess. The phone will go through a series of screens andupdate the firmware on the device; the first-time setup processtakes about 15 minutes and should not be interrupted. You willknow the phone is ready for use when the 911 address appearson the screen of the device.Press.Note: You can reject an incoming call by pressing Reject.Ending a callUsing the handset:Hang up the handset or press End Call.Using the speakerphone:Pressor End Call.Using the headset:Tap End Call.Redialing a call Pressto enter the Placed Calls list, and then tap thedesired entry Presstwice when the phone is idle to dial out the lastdialed numberMuting and unmuting a call Pressto mute the microphone during a call Pressagain to unmute the callBasic call functionsHolding and resuming a callPlacing a callTo hold a call:Using the handset:Press1. Select the desired forward type:Always Forward—Incoming calls are forwardedunconditionally.Busy Forward—Incoming calls are forwarded when thephone is busy.No Answer Forward—Incoming calls are forwarded if notanswered after a period of time.3. Enter the number you want to forward to. For No AnswerForward, select the desired ring time to wait beforeforwarding from the After Ring Time field4. Tap Save to accept the changeInitiating a conference call1. Tap Conference during an active call. The call is placedon hold1. Tap History2. Select an entry from the list3. Tapafter the desired entry, and then you can dothe following: Tap Send to call the entry Tap Delete to delete the entry from the list Tap Edit to edit the entry before calling Tap Add to add the entry to the local directory Tap Blacklist to add the entry to the blacklistManaging contact directoryAdding a contact:1. Tap Directory2. Tap Add to add a contact2. Enter the number of the second party and then tapConference3. Enter a unique contact name in the Name field and contactnumbers in the corresponding fields3. Tap Conference again when the second party answers.Three parties are now joined in the conference4. Tap Save to accept the changeConfiguring and using speed dial1. Tap DirectoryTo configure a speed-dial key:2. Tap1. Navigate to Menu Features Dsskey3. Edit the contact information2. Select the desired DSS key4. Tap Save to accept the change3. Select Speed Dial from the Type field, select the desiredline from the Account ID field, enter a label in the Label fieldand then enter the number in the Value fieldDeleting a contact:4. Tap Save to accept the changeTo use the speed-dial key:Press the speed-dial key to dial out the preset number.Listening to voicemail messagesThe “message waiting” indicator on the idle screen indicatesthat one or more voicemail messages are waiting at themessage center.
