FEATURED ARTICLENesma & Partners: SANGHospital Project UpdateNesma & Partners was awarded the Saudi ArabianNational Guard Health Affairs (SANG) SpecializedHospitals projects in Riyadh, Jeddah, Al Taifand Al Qassim. Nesma’s scope of work includes theconstruction of five specialized hospitals for SANGin different locations around the Saudi kingdom. Theproject includes Women and Maternity Hospital inRiyadh with 300 beds, King Abdullah SpecializedChildren Hospital in Jeddah with 350 beds, theNeuroscience and Trauma Care Center in Jeddah with176 beds, King Salman Specialized Hospital in Taifwith 300 beds andKing Abdullah Specialized Hospitalin Qassim with 300 beds. The project, which began inApril 2014, is the largest awarded to Nesma & Partnersto date and worth SAR 8,473,000,000.According to Haytham Kalash, PMP ConstructionManager, Nesma & Partners, four hospitals out of fiveare almost at 50% in physical progress, the overallmanpower is more than 8000, more than 50% areNesma direct employees. Kalash adds, “It is plannedto have more than 85% in progress by the end of 2017,where major equipment and activities will be completedmaking the four hospitals ready to receive the medicalequipment and furniture to start the testing andcommission stages in 2018.”Issue No. 37, January 2017 - NESMA INSIDER2

GROUP NEWSNesma HR Forum:Effective PartnershipNesma’s HR Forum was held at Nesma TrainingCenter in Jeddah, under the theme “The EffectivePartnership”. The Forum started with a welcomingspeech from Waleed Abdulmohsen, HR Supervisor,followed by a speech by Naif Al-Obaidi, NesmaHolding’s Executive Manager, who welcomedthe new HR joiners in Nesma’s companies andcommented on changes occuring in Saudi Arabia.The latest changes in government fees were alsohighlighted during this year’s HR Forum. MajedAsiri, Administration Manager explained in details,the new changes in the laws and fees regarding theMinistry of Interior, electricity consumption, Ministryof Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Labor and the Ministryof Municipal and Rural Affairs.Nesma President, Sh. Saleh Al-Turki, attended theforum and after welcoming all the attendees hetalked about the important partnership between thegovernment and the private sector in applying 2030vision which is an effective vision that invites ourcommunity to be part of thre change. He explained,“Although change brings with it difficulties andnew challenges, it is crucial in the journey towardsuccess.” Al-Turki also warmly welcomed NesmaOunr’s CEO in the forum, and commented, “Thepartnership betweenNesma and Onur is anideal example of “theeffective partnership”between companies.”Issue No. 37, January 2017 - NESMA INSIDERNT&T CompletesBPM Project for SaudiIndustrial DevelopmentFundNesma Telecom & Technology (NT&T)has successfully completed an importantproject in business process modeling(BPM) using K2 as a platform for theSaudi Industrial Development Fund(SIDF) in Riyadh.According to Yasser Abusamrah,Director of Information Services, NT&T,“Nesma divided this project into sixstages executing sequentially. Eachstage consisted of several steps ofverifications, approvals internally andexternally, and feedback from customersin order to maintain transparency andincrease efficiency.”SIDF decided to implement K2 as theircore BPM platform because processautomation forms a focal part of itsoverall corporate management culture.It will facilitate accurate data collection,reduce data entry redundancy, ensureprocedures and business rules arefollowed correctly from beginning to end,and additionally, create a true paperlessoffice. With K2 BPM, SIDF is achievingtheir goals in no time while increasing theefficiency of business and improving thesatisfaction of customers, employees,and management.5

GROUP NEWSNesma Trading AwardedSAPRE Project for SaudiAramcoNesma Finance Forum: Gear UpNesma’s 2017 Finance forum, “Gear Up”, took placeat Nesma Training Center, Jeddah on January 26.Nesma Finance Forum is an annual event that bringstogether Finance colleagues from various NesmaGroup companies to share updated information andprovide a place for networking.Master of Ceremony and Accounts Manager, SaraBernawi, welcomed the forum attendees andpresented short videos on Nesma’s various activitiesand projects.Nesma Trading was awarded theSouthern Area Power ReliabilityEnhancements project by Saudi Aramco.The project, valued at SAR 133 million,will fortify the power supply to Khuff areagas wells including Shedgum, Aindarand Fazran areas, by replacing the old,deteriorated wooden poles supporting13.8 kV overhead power lines with new,reliable steel poles. The project coversthe installation ofnew steel poles fora total length of 151kilometers.This three-year projectstarted on December20, 2016.Akkas Miah, Group CFO, Nesma Holding, alsowelcomed the attendees and commented on thisyear’s theme “Gear Up”, he said, “To Gear Up is toget ready and prepare ourselves for the upcomingevents.”Guest of honor Mohammad Hammad, ExecutiveVice President, Nesma Holding, also attendedthe Forum and shared a note of advice on“development”, saying, “Develop yourselves, learnnew skills and have hobbies that make you grow tobecome a better person; spend time in improvingpeople who work with you to see them grow as ifyou were planting a seed and want it to grow in frontof your eyes.”Nesma President, Sh. GROUP NEWSNesma Trading-TSDConducts Factory CertifiedTraining on Edwards EST-3Fire Alarm SystemThe Fire Protection Systems Department atNesma Trading-TSD conducted a workshop onthe latest technology update of Edwards-EST3Fire Alarm System, product of UTC Fire andSecurity.The 10-day certified training program wasattended by engineers from both Nesma Tradingand the Fire Protection Maintenance andInspection Unit (FPI&MU) team of Saudi Aramco.Musab Al Muzaiil, Fire Protection Engineer,FPI&MU, commented “The training was agreat value for our team and it helps bond ourrelationship with Nesma.”The training was carried by Chito Adapon,International Trainer, Edwards Systems, whoconfirmed the importance of this training forNesma Trading being UTC partner, whereas themain learning outcome is updating the personnelwith the newest technology in the trade andequipping them with the expertise to satisfactorilyhandle the programming, commissioning andmaintaining of Edwards Systems with highcompetence and in compliance with applicablecodes and regulations.George Fayad, Chief Operating Officer, NesmaTrading, commented, “Since we started ourpartnership with Edwards, we have been movingfrom one success to another.
