DIGITAL OUTPUTMONOCHROME CCD CAMERAMODEL4110Cohu's new Model 4110 DigitalVideo Camera is the first and onlydigital output CCD camera to combine a high-performance defect-freesensor and affordability in a singlepackage. Designed to support bothexisting and future digital imagingapplications, this exciting newcamera is the culmination of closecollaboration between Cohu andboth users and manufacturers ofimage processing equipment. The Model 4110 produces a digital output byte for each pixel andshares a pixel clock directly with theframe memory of the image processor board. The design eliminatesthe phase-lock-loop or genlock circuits usually employed with conventional analog to digital front endcircuitry. This breakthrough allowsan accurate digital reproduction ofeach pixel to be transferred to theprocessor and virtually eliminatespixel jitter. Imaging system noise isfurther reduced by moving the sensitive analog front end circuitry into thecamera and away from the highnoise environment associated withthe host computer's digital computing circuitry. The result is a muchhigher system Modulation TransferFunction (MTF) from the camera sensor to the image processor. The new Model 4110 helpsdigitizer manufacturers conserveboard space, providing room for additional functions and features. For Image ProcessingWithout Pixel JitterCohu Model 41 to Digital Video Monochrome CCD CameraThe Model 4110 is a vastly superior image acquisition camera for usewith measurement systems. The virtual elimination of pixel jitter, thenear perfect geometry of the CCDsensor array, and the optimum MTFefficiency make the 4110 the smartchoice for dimensional measurementsystems. The improved signal-tonoise ratio and broad dynamic rangeof true 8-bit precision, combined withthe elimination of clamping, autogain, post filtering, and auto black circuitry, make the Model 4110 the bestAPPUCATIONSMeasurementImage ProcessingMachine VisionPattern recognitionNon-contact measurementInspectionMicroscopyMedical ImagingRoboticsLaboratory ResearchRemote SensingDesigned and Manufactured in the U.S.A.choice for photometric purposes. The Model 4110 uses a half-inchformat, 739 x 484 sensor array. Byusing an image processing board withthe same or greater processormemory, the Model 4110 will yield ahigher system resolution than can beachieved with conventional analogcameras on similar systems.Designed and manufactured inU.S.A., the rugged and highly reliableModel 4110 is backed by a two-yearwarranty.FEATURES AND BENEFITS Highly Accurate Measurementsdue to elimination of pixel jitter Real Time, RS-170 Speed at14.31818 MHz clock Improved System Efficienciesresulting from in-camera A/Dconversion Noise Reduction resulting fromadvanced design features Maximized Resolution due toimproved MTF Preservation of Near-PerfectArray Geometry due to directcorrespondence between sensorelements and processor memory 1/2" Format CCD 739x484Frame Transfer Array,Blemish-Free Sensor No Audible Noiseno arraymovement, no electromechanicalcomponents Cost Effective — priced wellbelow cameras with similarcapabilities. IMPROVEDPERFORMANCE!Enhanced Signal-to-Noise Ratio (56 dB)Greater Sensitivity (to 0.04 Lux)MODELCCIR SOLID-STATEMONOCHROME CCD CAMERAHigh Resolution,High Sensitivity and Low Noise4710Cohu's Model 4710 solid-state camerasnow offer even better performance forapplications requiring low noise, highresolution and high sensitivity. Improvedsignal-to-noise characteristics result in aquieter picture, and better immunity topotentially harmful noise disturbances. Thenew Model 4710 also makes high resolution pictures attainable without geometricdistortion, lag or image retention. Theblemish-free imager provides pixel-topixel contrast variation of less than 5%.Closely matching the sensitivity of standard silicon target imaging tubes, theModel 4710 CCD (Charge CoupledDevice) image sensor uses the frametransfer method with over 400,000 pictureelements and an active imaging area of6.4mm by 4.8mm (1/2-inch format).Automatic Gain Control (AGC) adds furthersensitivity for use under widely varyinglight conditions. In addition to its superior performance, the new Model 4710 represents the ultimate in quality construction. Designed andmanufactured in the U.S.A., these ruggedCCD cameras have become the international standard for performance andreliability.Available with a wide range of options, the Model 4710 is compact, lightweightand energy efficient. It is the ideal CCDcamera for machine vision, image processing, robotics, process control, microscopyand many other scientific and industrialapplications.Cohu Model 4710FEATURES AND BENEFITS High Resolution for better definitionof details, error-free results. High Sensitivity permits operationover a broad range of light levels. Enhanced Signal-to-Noise Ratiofor clean, noise-free video. Frame Transfer Imager for minimized blooming characteristics. No Lag or Image Retention for fast, clean, precise images. Zero Geometric Distortion forconsistent corn
