ACSR conductor isavailable in a range of steel strengths varying from 6% up to40%. The higher strength ACSR conductors are used for rivercrossings, overhead earth wires, and installations involvingextra long spans. Against any given resistance of conductor,ACSR conductor may be manufactured to have different tensilestrengths as per requirement. The principal advantage of theseconductors are their high tensile strength and light weight,covering longer spans with less supports. Due to the greaterdiameter of an ACSR conductor much higher corona limit canbe obtained, giving a big advantage on high and extra highvoltage overhead lines.ASTM B231, ASTM B 232, DIN 48201, BS 215, UNE 21.018CONSTRUCTIONConductorHard Drawn Aluminium: BS EN 60889AL1 and Zinc coated steel wire as per BS EN 50189 with theclass and grade in accordance with ST1A, ST5E and ST6CISO/IEC 17025 LABORATORY TESTEDThis product is subject to the Quality Assurance protocols of The Cable Lab ,an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited cable testing laboratory.
