FOREWORDFIA takes its responsibility in leading motorsport and mobility into a low carbon futureto reduce the environmental impacts of ouractivities and contribute to a greener planet.I’m glad that our Members Clubs approveour environmental strategy that is part ofthe Purpose Driven initiative focused on thesocietal contribution of our two pillars. Bydeveloping fuel made from bio waste thatcan power Formula 1, we are taking a newstep forward. With the support of the world’sleading energy companies, we can combinethe best technological and environmentalperformance.Jean TodtFIA PresidentThe Environmental Strategy approved during theGeneral Assembly week is key in consolidatingFIA’s commitment to a low-carbon future. It willnot only engage in a wide organisationaleffort to measure, reduce, offset and removethe emissions that result from its own activities-becoming carbon neutral from 2021 and netzero by 2030-, FIA will also take a leadershiprole, among other sports federations, in pushingfor global climate action. This new strategyprovides a whole framework to support itsmembers in becoming more sustainable andbuild climate leadership themselves.Felipe CalderonPresident of the FIA Environment& Sustainability Commission
