Your relatives; or2. Your Domestic Partner; or3. Other persons under the age of 23 and in the care of any person named above; or4. A student enrolled in school full time, as defined by the school, who was aresident of your household before moving out to attend school, provided thestudent is under the age of:a) 23 and your relative; orb) 21 and in your care or the care of a person described in 1. above.The term Insured is used severally and not collectively, but the inclusion of more thanone Insured shall not increase the limits of the Company’s liability.Personal Property CoverageThe Company agrees to pay for All Risks of physical loss or damage to:A. Scheduled Personal Property separately described and enumerated in theschedule attached, owned or used by the Insured.B. Unscheduled Personal Property owned or used by the Insured.C. Personal Baggage accompanying Insured defined as personal effects suchas usually carried by tourists and travelers owned or used by the Insured.D. Household Goods in Inland Transit when direct and accidental loss of householdgoods occurs while property is in transit. This coverage specifically excludes transoceanic and intracoastal shipments.E. Actual loss of or damage by vandalism or malicious mischief, excluding fire,to the interior of the residence of the Insured.Limit of Liability and Settlement OptionsUnder Personal PropertyScheduled Property—In the event of a total loss of any article or articles includedunder Scheduled Property and subject to the Appraised Value applicable as shown andmade part of the Insured’s Application, and on file with the Administrator, the amountof the Company’s liability shall be such appraised value. If there is a loss of an articlewhich is part of a pair or set, the measure of the loss shall be a reasonable and fair proportion of the total value of the pair or set, giving consideration to the importance ofthe article, but such loss not to be construed to mean total loss of the pair or set. Newlyacquired property that has not yet been reported will have coverage for the first 30 days.Unscheduled Property—Replacement Cost Coverage: The Company’s liability forloss is the full cost to repair or replace the loss or damaged property without deductionfor depreciation not to exceed the smallest of the following amounts:1. The total limit of liability, for Unscheduled Property as stated on the Declarationof Coverage, except for jewelry and watches which are covered up to a total of 5,000 in the aggregate per loss.2. The replacement cost of the lost or damaged Unscheduled Property at the timeof loss.3. The cost to repair the damaged Unscheduled Property at the time of loss.This replacement cost coverage does not apply to antiques, fine arts, paintings,statuary and similar objects which by their inherent nature cannot be replaced withnew articles. Also excluded are items whose age and origin contribute substantially totheir value, including but not limited to memorabilia, souvenirs and collections, i.e.stamps, coins, etc.In addition, items specifically scheduled under this insurance contract are excludedfrom this coverage.Nike – HO-GTWY (8/07)The Company may pay for the loss in money or may repair or replace the property andmay settle any claim for loss of property either with the Insured or the owner thereof.Any property so paid for or replaced shall become the property of the Company. TheInsured or the Company, upon recovery of any such property, shall give notice assoon as practicable to the other and the Insured shall be entitled to the property uponreimbursing the Company for the amount so paid or the cost of replacement. Any lossshall not reduce the amount of insurance afforded under this policy section. Applicationof the insurance to property of more than one person shall not operate to increase thelimit of the Company’s liability.Special Limits of LiabilityThe Special Limit for each of the following numbered categories is the Company’stotal limit for each occurrence for all property in that numbered category. Thesespecial limits do not increase the amounts specified in the Declaration of Coverage(Unscheduled Personal Property) and are in excess of the amount so specified.1. 5,000 in the aggregate for UNSCHEDULED jewelry and watches.2. 1,000 in the aggregate for cash or currency, bank notes, bullion, andnumismatic property.3. 5,000 in the aggregate on manuscripts, securities, accounts, bills, deeds,evidence of debt, letters of credit, notes other than bank notes, passports, or stampsincluding philatelic property.4. 200 in the aggregate for the accidental death or destruction of domesticanimals (limited to the Named Insured’s domestic cat or dog).5. 1,000 in the aggregate for breakage of glassware, statuary marble, bric-a-brac,porcelains, lens or eyeglasses or similar fragile items.6. 5,000 in the aggregate for plated ware, tableware, trays, trophies, and otherhousehold and personal articles other than jewelry that consist principally of sterlingsilver, gold, or pewter.Additional Personal Property Coverages – Loss of UseThe limit of liability for all the following coverages under Loss of Use shall be 20% ofthe amount specified in Declaration of Coverage (Unscheduled Personal Property) andshall be in excess of the amount so specified.ADDITIONAL LIVING EXPENSE. If a loss covered under this Section makesthe resident premises uninhabitable, any necessary increase in living expense incurredby the Insured so that his/her household can maintain its normal standard of livingas nearly as practicable is covered up to the limit of liability stated above. Paymentshall be for the shortest time required to repair or replace the premises or, if theInsured permanently relocates, the shortest time required to settle elsewhere. Thisperiod of time is not limited by expiration of the policy.PROHIBITED USE. If an authority prohibits the Insured from use of theresidence premises as a result of direct damage to neighboring premises by a perilinsured against in this policy, any resulting Additional Living Expense loss for aperiod not exceeding two weeks during which use is prohibited is covered.Optional Personal Property CoveragesPolitical Risk CoverageIn consideration of the additional premium charged, and if elected and identifiedon the Declaration of Coverage, it is understood and agreed that the Companywill indemnify the Insured against loss to personal property covered under SectionI, Personal Property Coverage, Coverage A (Scheduled Personal Property) and B(Unscheduled Personal Property), sustained during the policy period as a direct resultof: War, or Civil War and Insurrection; or Expropriatory Action; or Acts ofSabotage or Terrorism.This coverage is subject to a waiting period of sixty (60) days from the date of lossbefore payment will be paid. Gateway Plus Personal Property and Liability Insurance ContractThe limit of total liability for this endorsement is stated on the declarations for SectionI, Coverage A Scheduled Property and Coverage B Unscheduled Property.Meaning of Words and Terms under Political Risk CoverageActs of Sabotage or Terrorism shall mean politically motivated destruction of ordamage to Insured’s personal property arising out of state sponsored and governmentdirected terrorism or by an organized political group which advocated the overthrow ofthe established political authorities in the country of domicile.Civil War and Insurrection shall mean any mass-based, sustained, non-intermittentand cohesively organized series of actions of insurrection, rebellion, revolution or civilwar which occur within the country of domicile or acts of terrorism (including but notlimited to state-sponsored terrorism) which occur directly and explicitly in the countryof domicile as part of such insurrection, rebellion, revolution or civil war. It is agreedthat acts of sabotage or terrorism do not in themselves automatically qualify as actsof civil war and insurrection unless such activity occurs within the broader context ofmass-based, sustained, non-intermittent and cohesively organized insurrection, rebellion, revolution or civil war.Date of loss shall mean the date during the policy period from which the waitingperiod begins and on which the occurrence resulting in the loss first happens.Expropriatory action shall mean any action commencing during the policy period ofconfiscation, expropriation, nationalization, deprivation or requisition which is taken,authorized or ratified by the government of the country which continues consecutivelythroughout the waiting period and directly, effectively, arbitrarily and significantlydenies or precludes the Insured from exercising control over the use or disposition of asubstantial portion of the insured property.a) War, invasion, act of foreign enemy, hostility or warlike operations (whetherwar be declared or not), civil war, mutiny, insurrection, rebellion, revolution,military uprising, conspiracy, military or usurped power, or the act of anyperson acting on behalf of, or in connection with, any organization with activities directed towards the overthrow by force of any government, de jure or defacto, or to the influencing of it by terrorism or violence. Discharge of a nuclearweapon shall be deemed a warlike act even if accidental.b) Risks of contraband or illegal transportation or trade, seizure or destructionunder quarantine or customs regulations, confiscation by order of anygovernment or public authority.c) Nuclear reaction or nuclear radiation or radioactive contamination allwhether controlled or uncontrolled, and whether such loss be direct or indirect, proximate or remote, or be in whole or in part caused by, contributedto, or aggravated by the peril(s) otherwise insured against in this policy; however, subject to the foregoing and all provisions of this policy, direct loss byfire resulting from Nuclear reaction or nuclear radiation or radioactivecontamination is insured against by this policy.7. against “Fungi,” Wet or Dry Rot, or Bacteria, meaning the presence, growth,proliferation, spread or any activity of “fungi,” wet or dry rot or bacteria.Whenever “fungi,” wet or dry rot, or bacteria occur, any loss or damage causedby “fungi,” wet or dry rot, or bacteria is excluded, however caused. In addition,there is no coverage to test for, monitor, clean up, remove, remediate, contain,treat, de-toxify, neutralize, or in any way respond to, or assess the effects of,“fungi,” wet or dry rot, or bacteria.SECTION II: Personal LiabilityWaiting period shall mean the consecutive period of time, beginning with the date ofloss or the date of expropriation, which is required to expire before any action taken orsustained will be deemed to have become a loss.The Company agrees to provide the following coverages under this section:War shall mean hostile or warlike action in hindering, combating or defending againstan actual, impending or expected act by:1. Any government or sovereign power or any authority maintaining or usingmilitary, naval or air forces;2. Any military, naval or air forces; or3. Any agent of any such government, power authority or forces.1. To indemnify the Insured for all sums which the Insured shall become legallyobligated to pay as damages because of Bodily Injury or Personal Injury sustainedby any person, or Property Damage.2. Coverage also applies to liability assumed under any written contract or agreement, for a residence rented or lease agreement that is mandated by local law orstatute including:Neighbors and tenants liability, meaning property damage which the insuredbecomes legally obligated to pay by reason of liability imposed by the articles ofthe Napoleonic code or similar civil or commercial codes because of:1. Damage for which the insured is liable as a tenant;2. Damage for which the insured is liable when the consequences of suchdamage spread from the insured premises to the premises of neighbors andco-tenants; or3. Damage for which the insured is liable as landlord, as a result ofconstruction defects or lack of maintenance.3. Defense, Settlement, Supplementary Payments: with respect to such insurance asis afforded by this policy section, the Company shall:a) defend any suit against the Insured alleging such injury, sickness, diseaseor destruction and seeking damages on account thereof, even if such suit isgroundless, false or fraudulent; but the Company may make such investigation, negotiation and settlement of any claim or suit as it deems expedient;b) pay all premiums on bonds to release attachments for amounts not in excessof the applicable limit of this policy section, all premiums on appeal bondsrequired in any such defended suit, but without any obligation to apply foror furnish any such bonds;c) pay all reasonable expenses incurred by the Insured, all costs taxed against theInsured in any such suit and all interest accruing after entry of judgment untilthe Company has paid or tendered or deposited in court such part of suchjudgment as does not exceed the limit of the Company’s liability thereon;d) pay expenses incurred by the Insured in the event of an accident causing bodily injury, sickness or disease, for such immediate medical and surgical relief toothers as shall be imperative at the time of the accident.Property ExcludedInsurance described in this contract does not apply to:1. automobiles, motorcycles, aircraft, watercraft or other vehicles (except bicycles,tricycles, baby carriages, invalid chairs and similar property), or their equipmentor furnishings except when removed from the vehicle and actually on the premisesof the residence of the “Named Insured;”2. property of any person insured while he or she is engaged in any form ofprofessional entertainment, or property relating to a business, profession oroccupation of an Insured, except for professional books, instruments, and otherprofessional equipment owned by an Insured while actually within the residenceof the “Named Insured;”3. property ordinarily located throughout the year at residences other than theresidence address of the “Named Insured” as shown in the application on whichthis insurance is based;4. property on exhibition at fairgrounds or on the premises of any National orInternational Exposition.Perils ExcludedInsurance in this contract does not apply:1. against the marring or scratching of any property unless such marring or scratching is caused by theft, burglary or robbery or attempt thereat, vandalism, maliciousmischief, fire, lightning, windstorm, cyclone, tornado, hurricane, earthquake,flood, explosion, falling aircraft, riot, strike, collapse of building or accident totransporting vehicle other than an overseas vessel;2. against mechanical breakdown; against loss or damage to electrical apparatuscaused by electricity, other than lightning unless fire results and then only for lossor damage by such resultant fire;3. against wear and tear; against loss or damage caused by dampness of the atmosphere or extremes of temperature unless such loss or damage is directly caused byrain, snow, sleet, hail, bursting of pipes or apparatus; against deterioration, insect,vermin and inherent vice; against damage to property (except watches, jewelry andfurs) caused by or directly resulting from any work thereon in the course of a process involving refinishing, renovating or repairing;4. directly or indirectly, to the benefit of any carrier or bailee.5. loss due to cancellation of a lease or agreement6. against loss or damage occasioned by or through or in consequences directlyor indirectly, of the following occurrences:Nike – HO-GTWY (8/07)Coverage A – LiabilityCoverage B – Medical PaymentsTo pay all reasonable expenses for occurrences reported within two years from the dateof accident for necessary medical, surgical and dental services, including prostheticdevices, and necessary ambulance, hospital, professional nursing and funeral services,to or for each person who sustains bodily injury, sickness or disease, caused by an accident while on the premises with the permission of an Insured, or while elsewhere, ifsuch injury, sickness or disease:a) arises out of the premises or a condition in the ways immediately adjoining;b) is caused by the activities of an Insured;c) is caused by the activities of or is sustained by a Residence Employee whileengaged in the employment of an Insured, ord) is caused by an animal owned by or in the care of an Insured.Page 2 of 8

Gateway Plus Personal Property and Liability Insurance ContractLimits of Liability Under Personal LiabilityThe Limit of Liability stated in the Declarations for Comprehensive Personal Liability isthe limit of the Company’s liability for all damages, including damages for care and lossof services, as the result of any one occurrence for Coverage A – Liability.The Limit of Liability stated in the Declarations for Medical Payments is the limitof the Company’s liability for all expenses incurred by or on behalf of each personwho sustains bodily injury as the result of any one accident for Coverage B – MedicalPayments.Additional CoveragesThe Company will pay the following expenses in addition to the limits of liabilityof this policy section:1. Not-for-Profit Directors and Officers CoverageThe Company shall provide the Insured, liability coverage up to a limit of 100,000 for Wrongful Acts occurring during their non-paid volunteer activitiesas a Director or Officer of a not-for-profit organization. Insurance does notapply to:a) libel or slander;b) bodily injury or for property damage;c) the Insured in his/her capacity as a Director or Officer for acts based upon orattributable to their gaining in fact any personal profit or advantage to which(they) were not legally entitled; ord) loss origins from any claims made against the estate, heirs, legal representativeor assigns of deceased persons who were Directors or Officers at the time ofthe Wrongful Act(s) upon which such claims are based, and the legal representatives (or) assigns of Directors or Officers in the event of their incompetency,insolvency (or) bankruptcy.The term “Wrongful Act(s)” shall mean any actual or alleged error or misstatement ormisleading statement or act or omission or neglect or breach of duty by the Directorsand Officers in the discharge of their duties, individually or collectively, or any matter claimed against them solely by reason of their being Directors or Officers of theCompany.2. Credit Card LiabilityThe Company will pay 2,500 in the aggregate for the theft or unauthorizeduse of credit cards or fund transfer cards for which the Insured becomes legallyobligated to pay. Said card(s) must be registered solely in the name of the Insured.Coverage herein applies to residents of your household, provided all the termsand conditions under the credit card or fund transfer card are complied with. Wedo not cover loss arising out of business pursuits or dishonesty of any “NamedInsured.”3. First Aid ExpensesThe Company will pay expenses for first aid to others incurred by any Insuredfor bodily injury covered under this policy. The Company will not pay first aidexpenses for injuries incurred by any Insured.4. Damage to Property of OthersThe Company will pay up to 250 per occurrence for Property Damage toproperty of others caused by any Insured.6. acts caused directly or indirectly by war, including undeclared war, civil war,insurrection, rebellion, revolution, warlike act by a military force or militarypersonnel, destruction or seizure or use for a military purpose, and including anyconsequence of any of these. Discharge of a nuclear weapon shall be deemed awarlike act even if accidental;7. Bodily Injury of a Residence Employee which occurs off the insured location anddoes not arise out of or in the course of a Residence Employee’s employment byany Insured;8. any person, eligible to receive any benefits required to be provided under anyworker or workmen’s compensation, non-occupational disability or occupationaldisease law;9. liability assumed under any written contract, agreement by contract or agreementin connection with any business of the Insured;10. Property Damage to property owned by the Insured;11. Property Damage to property rented to, occupied or used by or in the care,custody or control of the Insured. This exclusion does not apply to PropertyDamage caused by fire, smoke or explosion;12. Bodily Injury, Personal Injury or Property Damage for which any Insured underthis policy is also an Insured under a nuclear energy liability policy or would be anInsured but for its termination upon exhaustion of its limit of liability. A nuclearenergy liability policy is a policy issued by the Nuclear Energy Liability InsuranceAssociation, Mutual Atomic Energy Liability Underwriters, Nuclear InsuranceAssociation of Canada, or any of their successors. Also, any other nuclear energyliability policy issued by any foreign government or foreign jurisdiction;13. Bodily Injury, Personal Injury or Property Damage to an Insured;14. arising out of, aggravated by or resulting from “fungi,” wet or dry rot, or bacteria.This exclusion includes any liability imposed on the Insured by any governmentauthority for any loss or damage caused by, arising out of, aggravated by or resulting from “fungi,” wet or dry rot, or bacteria.SECTION III: Personal Excess LiabilityWe will pay that portion of the damages for Bodily Injury, Personal Injury or PropertyDamage that a covered person is legally responsible to pay for which exceeds theUnderlying Coverage.Limit of LiabilityOur liability for damages resulting from one occurrence is only for that portion ofthe damages which exceeds the Underlying Coverage. The covered person mustpromptly pay us any amount of the damages we pay which falls within the UnderlyingCoverage. We will never pay more than the limit of liability shown in the Declarationsfor all damages resulting from one occurrence.The insurance provided by this policy applies separately to each covered person a claimis made against, but including more than one covered person in the policy will notincrease our limit of liability.ExclusionsDefense-SettlementInsurance does not apply to Bodily Injury, Personal Injury or Property Damage causedby:1. acts expected or intended by the Insured who is 15 years of age or older;2. acts arising out of business pursuits of any Insured or the rental or holding forrental any part of any premises by any Insured; provided, however, this exclusionshall not apply to (a) activities which are ordinarily incidental to non-businesspursuits, or (b) the rental or holding for rental of a residence of yours on an occasional basis for the exclusive use as a residence, (c) in part, unless intended for useas a residence by more than two roomers or boarders, or (d) in part, as an office,school, studio or private garage;3. acts arising out of the rendering or failing to render professional services;4. acts arising out of any premises owned or rented to any Insured which is not aninsured location provided, however, this exclusion does not apply to Bodily Injuryto any Residence Employee arising out of and in the course of the ResidenceEmployee’s employment by an Insured;5. acts arising out of the ownership, maintenance, operation, use, loading orunloading of:a) an aircraft;b) a Motor Vehicle owned or operated by or rented or loaned to any Insured; orc) a Watercraft (this exclusion does not apply while the Watercraft is in storage)owned by or rented to any Insured if the Watercraft has inboard or inboardoutboard drive motor power of more than 50 horsepower or is a sailing vessel,with or without auxiliary power, 26 feet or more in overall length; or poweredby one or more outboard motors with more than 25 total horsepower, ownedby an Insured at the inception of this policy. Exclusion 5 does not apply toBodily Injury to any Residence Employee arising out of and in the course ofthe Residence Employee’s employment by any Insured;If it is claimed that a covered person is legally responsible for damages which are notpayable (1) under any underlying insurance or (2) due to exhaustion of all underlying insurance, but which are covered under this policy except for the UnderlyingCoverage, we will:1. Provide a defense by counsel of our choice. We may investigate and settle theclaim or suit as we see fit. Our duty to defend ends when our limit of liability isexhausted by payment for damages.2. Pay premiums on all appeal bonds required in a suit we defend. We have no dutyto apply for or furnish a bond.3. Pay all our expenses. Pay all court costs a covered person is charged. Pay all interest accruing after judgment is entered until we pay, tender or deposit in court thatpart of the judgment this policy covers.4. Pay the covered person for all reasonable expenses, including lost earningsup to 100 per day or the aggregate of 5,000, incurred at our request. Theseamounts are in addition to the applicable limit of liability of this policy.Nike – HO-GTWY (8/07)Maintenance of Underlying InsuranceIt is a condition of this section that the policy or policies referred to in Policy SectionIII in the Declarations, or renewals thereof not more restrictive in coverage, shall bemaintained in full effect during the term of this section except for any reduction ofthe aggregate limit or limits contained therein solely by payment of claims with respectto occurrences occurring during the period of this section. Failure of the Insured tocomply with the foregoing shall not invalidate this section but in the event of suchfailure, the Company shall only be liable to the same extent as it would have beenhad the Insured complied with this condition.Page 3 of 8

Personal Injury or Property Damage with respect to which an Insured is also anInsured under a nuclear energy liability policy issued by Nuclear Energy LiabilityProperty Insurance Association, Mutual Atomic Energy Liability Underwriters orNuclear Insurance Association of Canada, or would be an Insured under any suchpolicy but for its termination upon exhaustion of its limit of liability;5. any act committed by or at the direction of the Insured with intent to causePersonal Injury or Property Damage, but this exclusion does not apply to PersonalInjury or Property Damage resulting from an act committed for the purpose ofpreventing or eliminating danger in the operation of Automobiles, Watercraft oraircraft or for the purpose of protecting persons or property;6. the ownership, maintenance, operation or use, including loading or unloading, ofany aircraft, or motorcycle (except to the extent that insurance therefore is provided by an underlying policy);7. the ownership, maintenance, operation or use, including loading or unloading,of any Watercraft owned by any Insured while away from premises owned by,rented to, or controlled by an Insured, unless; insurance therefore is provided by arequired underlying policy, or notice is given to the Company within30 days following the date of acquisition of any Watercraft and additionalpremium is charged;8. Business pursuits or Business Property of an Insured; provided, however, thisexclusion shall not apply to (a) activities which are ordinarily incidental to nonbusiness pursuits, or (b) the rental or holding for rental of a residence of yours onan occasional basis for the exclusive use as a residence, (c) in part, unless intendedfor use as a residence by more than two roomers or boarders, or (d) in part, as anoffice, school, st
