THE UIACENTRE GUIDEWhat is the UIA One Stop Centre?It is the first point of contact for any potential investor and was established to enable domestic andforeign investors set up their investment projects in the shortest time possible as provided for in the OneStop Centre Client Service Charter.Through the UIA One Stop Centre, potential investors can under one roof apply for various licenses andpermits required to setup and do business in Uganda as well as obtain investment advisory services.The UIA One Stop Centre services have also been extended through the award-winning Electronic Business Portal (eBiz) which makes it possible to apply for among other services: business name reservation,investment licensing and land title verification.Who visits the UIA One Stop Centre?An individual being a national of the East African Community (EAC) Partner States or any othercountry who:a) already carries out business activities or intends to invest in Ugandab) needs to apply for various business-related licenses/permitsc) needs investment facilitation, investment advisory and investment after care services.Who is an investor?A natural person or incorporated company duly engaged in the creation or acquisition of business assetsand services with a view to generate future value (value addition) and create employment.
