Disposal of packagingThe packaging protects the device from transport damage.The packaging materials have been selected in accordancewith their environmental friendliness and disposal attributes,and are therefore recyclable.The recirculation of packaging into the materialcircuit saves on raw material and reduces theamount of waste generated. Dispose ofpackaging material that is no longer needed inaccordance with applicable local regulations.Requirements for the setup locationFor safe and trouble-free operation of the device, the setuplocation must fulfil the following requirements: The device must be placed on a firm, flat and level surface. Do not place the device in a hot, wet or extremely moistenvironment or close to flammable materials. Ensure that the On/Off switch 4 is in the OFF position. Connect the USB connector of the charging cable 9to a PC or a USB power supply. Connect the Mini USB connector of the chargingcable 9 to the POWER INPUT connection socket 7of the device. The operating LED 3 illuminates in redand the battery is charged.SMA 500 A1GB IE NI 9
NOTE The operating LED 3 illuminates in red during thecharging procedure and in blue after the battery hasbeen fully charged. The maximum charging time is about 4 hours, andallows music to be played for up to 8 hours at avolume level of 50%. As soon as the operating LED 3 illuminates in red,the battery is empty and requires charging.Speaker operation Completely unwind the speaker cable 8 from thecable storage (underside of device). Connect the 3.5 mm jackplug of the speaker cable 8to your playback device. Switch the speaker on by moving the On/Offswitch 4 to the ON position. The operatingLED 3 illuminates in blue. Switch on your player and select the required volumeusing the volume control 5 . To obtain a rich bass tone, move the BASS switch 6to the ON position. To switch the speaker off again, move the On/Offswitch 4 to the OFF position. The operating LED 3goes out. 10 GB IE NISMA 500 A1
Aux-In operationMany electronic entertainment devices are equipped witha 3.5 mm jack socket. If your player has a connector thatdiffers from the audio output socket, use a suitable adapter ifnecessary, or connect it to the AUX-IN 2 connection socketusing an adapter cable. The relevant adapter/adaptercable is available from specialist dealers.NOTE If you have connected playback devices to the AUXIN connection socket 2 and the speaker cable 8at the same time, only the sound from the AUX-INconnection socket 2 will be played.SMA 500 A1GB IE NI 11
Fault rectificationThis section contains important information on fault localisation and rectification. Clean the housing of the device only with a lightly moistened cloth and a mild detergent.Storage/DisposalStorage when not in use Switch off the speaker by moving the On/Off switch 4to the OFF position. Wind the speaker cable 8 clockwise onto the cablestorage and clip the 3.5 mm jackplug into the recess. Store the device in a dry environment. Disposal of the deviceThe adjacent symbol of a crossed-out wheeliebin means that this device is subject to Directive2012/19/EU. Bortskaf emballeringsmaterialer, du ikke skalbruge mere, efter de lokalt gældende forskrifter.Krav til opstillingsstedetOpstillingsstedet skal opfylde følgende krav for at garanteresikker og fejlfri brug af minihøjttaleren: Minihøjttaleren skal opstilles på et fast, fladt og vandretunderlag. BEMÆRK Drifts-LED'en 3 lyser rødt under opladningsprocessenog blåt efter fuld opladning. Den maksimale opladningstid er omkring 4 timer oggiver mulighed for musikafspilning i op til 8 timer ved50 % lydstyrke. Så snart drifts-LED'en 3 lyser rødt, er batteriet afladetog kræver genopladning.Højttalerdrift Højttalerledningen 8 vikles helt af ledningsopviklingen (apparatets underside). Slut højttalerledningens 8 3,5 mm jackstik til dinafspilningsenhed. Tænd for højttaleren ved at sætte tænd-/slukkontakten4 på position ON. Drifts-LED'en 3 lyser blåt. Tænd for afspilningsenheden, og indstil den ønskedelydstyrke ved hjælp af lydstyrkeknappen 5 . For at opnå en fyldig basklang skal omskifteren BASS6 sættes på position ON. For at slukke for højttaleren igen skal tænd-/slukkontakten 4 sættes på position OFF. Drifts-LED'en 3 slukker. 30 DKSMA 500 A1
