Our programs are administeredand delivered under the guidelines and requirements of the Safety,Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988, the Occupational Health andSafety Act, the Work Health and Safety Act, and the Work Act (WIRC).Each of the Health Professionals that work for EMP Onsite upholdthe requirements, professional conduct and ethical standards of theirrespective industry and peak bodies and undertake the requiredprofessional development and accreditation activities to maintain theirmemberships.Our proven Injury Prevention and Early Intervention programs are thecornerstone of our offer and draw on our extensive experience across allindustry verticals and benchmarking data to deliver a positive return oninvestment measured in both lead and lag indicators.Injury Management &Return to Work ProgramsOur EMP Injury Management & Return to Work Programs assistorganisations to manage the instances where an employee is injuredand requires specialist support as part of their return to work programto supplement and improve the effectiveness of the statutory Workers'Compensation process.EMP Onsite provide this service to our clients as a companion to ourprevention programs to enable us to assist clients to; manage legacy issuesin their workforce, to address any new instances of injury that may ariseand to assist in the return to work process.We improve the effectiveness of the Workers' Compensation processby utilising our benchmark data, sensor technology and specialist clinicalexpertise to augment and improve the approach and provide an enhancedreturn to work program for the individual while reducing the risk of futureinjury and related claims costs.In providing treatment & injury management we work for the employer,rather than for the relevant Workers' Compensation scheme, and are ableto provide our clients with strategic advice and support to achieve the bestoutcomes for both the employer and the employee.1415

This will detailthe programs to be delivered, the specific risks to be addressed, the implementationplan, the KPI’s for the programs and the expected return on investment.3 Program ImplementationA typical program will include the following elements to be delivered across worksitesand job functions based on a risk based priority matrix. Induction Program – Onboarding new staff into roles Sensor Testing - Manual handling observations and group/individual coaching Scanner Technology - Functional movement assessments for individuals Warm Up Training – Instructing and coaching groups to warm up for work Group Based Training - Small group or individual exercise sessions by job type Re-Injury Prevention – Small group or individual interventions for high risk workers Return to Work – Providing specific injury management support4 Review & ReportingWe provide weekly dashboards as well as monthly, quarterly and annual reports andregular meetings that clearly document and demonstrate the progress of our programs,the activities that have been completed and the improvements that our programs havedelivered. We conduct regular program reviews and adjust for groups and individualsbased on the results achieved to-date and the opportunities for ongoing improvements.17

The datagenerated enables us to design, administer and controlour services to meet the specific needs of bothindividuals and organisations.By applying an evidence-based approach to documentationand reporting, we are able to deliver favourable resultsand demonstrate return on investment for our clients.Importantly, the technology enhances program deliveryand accelerates results by enabling us to track individualand group improvements, to benchmark groups andindividuals, and to make adjustments to the individualand group programs based on real-life data.As an integral part of our program, EMP Sensor &Scanner Technology has both an immediate impact onworkers' task performance, and simultaneously providesdata to objectively identify risk trends and measurechanges across an organisation.Our experience and capabilities in clinical, technical andprogram design disciplines enables us to collect andanalyse objective data from multiple technologies, andcombine this information to inform our Injury Preventionand Injury Management Programs produce actions andinitiatives that reduce injuries.We currently have benchmarking data built fromthousands of sensor task observations and scannerassessments that represent key job roles acrossthe spectrum of industry verticals. This body ofbenchmarking data enables us to create a best practicefunctional movement profile by which to benchmarkindividuals and groups and design effective InjuryPrevention & Injury Management Program.18EMP Onsite utilises the Sensor and Scanner Technologyacross every phase of our process. In the scoping anddesign phases we use the technology in our diagnosticand conduct sample tests across different job roles andworker demographics. This informs the site risk profilewhich we use to design each program and enables us tobuild an accurate indicative profile of movement, bodystress, performance and injury risk that we can compareto our benchmarking data.In the implementation phase we utilise sensortechnology in the delivery of manual handlingobservations and coaching and we use scannertechnology to complete functional movementassessments. Individuals are monitored and measuredusing the technology depending on their risk profile andindividual requirements. For example a regular workerwould receive a quarterly scanner review to track theirprogress where an injured worker may receive weeklyassessments as part of their intensive return to workprogram.In the instance of Injury Management and Return toWork Programs, the technology enables EMP Onsite tomeasure the exact range of movement for an individualand match them to a suitable role or modify their roleto enable them to re-join the workforce. In parallel,the technology is used to design a specific injurymanagement program and monitor the progress of theindividual through the return to work process.If the worker is injured following their initial test thenthe data is available to measure the exact extent of theirinjury compared to their original movement profile. Inaddition to providing valuable data in the design oftheir return to work program, the data is also useful inmanaging and mitigating Workers Compensation claims.Benefits of Wearable TechEMP Onsite AppsIn all cases, the wearable technology weutilise enables accurate measurement andrisk analysis and provides the importantdata for program design, to accelerateresults and for reporting and fact baseddecision-making.We have developed and implemented ourEMP Onsite App into our prevention andtreatment programs. Customised for eachindividual worker, our App provides guide andreminder warm up for work and complete bothrecommended and prescribed exercises at therequired intervals while tracking and loggingtheir participation in the program.19
