We enjoy a pivotal role as part of a wider network ofmaritime and insurance interests and work closely withthem to identify and monitor framework related issuesrelevant to the global marine insurance industry. StatisticsIUMI’s Facts & Figures Committee produces statisticaldata on the marine insurance sector twice a year. Thismaterial is widely acknowledged as the most comprehensive and accurate source of information available.The IUMI Stats report, published every autumn,presents a range of statistical data, including IUMI’sown data, to give key metrics and trends coveringglobal underwriting premiums; marine, hull andoffshore energy status reports; and more general fleetand cargo statistics. How to become an IUMI MemberOrdinary membership is limited to national and marketmarine insurance associations. In the absence ofsuch associations, similar bodies acting in the samecapacity as national/market marine insurance associations may also be eligible for membership.New IUMI member associations are elected oncea year by the IUMI Council during the IUMI annualconference in September.
