This often occurs at the end of the term. Do notexpect to receive a new I-20, until your current school has released your SEVISrecord.Q: I am going home, and I need my new I-20 as soon as possible!A: You must re-enter the country with your CSUF I-20. Notify us if you plan totravel. If we cannot issue your I-20 prior to you leaving the country, your I-20 canbe mailed to an overseas address.Q: Do I need a new visa now that I will transfer to a new school?A: If you have a valid F-1 or J-1 visa stamp, you do not need to go to the USEmbassy to obtain a new visa, even though the school indicated on the visa pageis a different school.Q: I think I am out of status, can I still get my I-20?A: You should schedule an appointment with the CSUF Immigration Advisor assoon as possible.
