BIOGRAPHIESMARIA CONKEY is an experienced conductor, clinician and pedagogue. She iscurrently the Junior Choir Conductor at St. Michael’s Choir School. In addition to her workat the choir school, she has recently been appointed the Artistic Director of Young VoicesToronto. Ms. Conkey is a graduate of Memorial University and the University of Alberta,where she studied choral conducting under the direction of Dr. Debra Cairns and Dr.Leonard Ratzlaff. She has worked with internationally acclaimed conductors such as MariaGuinand, Jon Washburn and Fred Sjoberg. Ms. Conkey was most recently the Director ofthe award-winning senior choirs at St. Bonaventure’s College and the Choral Director atthe Basilica of St. John the Baptist in St. John’s, Newfoundland. She has also worked withShallaway – Newfoundland Youth in Chorus and several children’s, youth and adult choirs,including the Alberta Youth Choir and the University of Alberta Madrigal Singers.TERI DUNN is the Dean of Choral Studies at St. Michael’s Choir School where sheconducts the Elementary, Tenor Bass, and Senior Choirs. A recipient of the Leslie Bell Prizein Choral Conducting, she also holds the post of Music Director with the CanadianChildren’s Opera Company. She has previously held conducting positions with theToronto Children’s Chorus, Royal Conservatory of Music, and with Hart House Chorus(University of Toronto). Her choirs have appeared at Carnegie Hall, the TorontoInternational Choral Festival and with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. An acclaimedsoloist, Ms. Dunn has performed with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, Tafelmusik, andwith many other Canadian ensembles. She has recordings on Centrediscs and Naxos, andwas a prize winner in the Eckhardt-Gramatté Competition.S. BRYAN PRIDDY, recently appointed Principal Conductor, comes to St. Michael’sChoir School with more than thirty years’ choral teaching experience involving all ages andlevels of singers from elementary to collegiate to senior adult. He holds music degrees fromGeorgia State University (BM), the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (MCM), andthe Eastman School of Music (MM). Previous significant posts include that of ArtisticDirector of the internationally regarded Texas Boys Choir, whose recent recordings were

produced under the Mark Masters label and distributed by Naxos North America; Directorof Music Ministries at Peachtree Presbyterian Church (8500 members) in Atlanta, Georgia;and Director of Choral Activities at Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington. Choirsunder his direction have performed regularly at significant music educators’ conferencesthroughout the States, including two appearances at the prestigious National Conferenceof the American Choral Directors Association in 2013 and 2017.WILLIAM O’MEARA is the Organist at St. Michael’s Cathedral Basilica and organteacher at St. Michael’s Choir School. Mr. O’Meara has performed at festivals and concertseries throughout North and South America, Europe and Russia. His recently releasedrecording, AWARI: Gems from Canada and Beyond, includes premiere recordings ofseveral Canadian works for organ as well as organ and violin with Toronto Symphonyassistant concertmaster Etsuko Kimura.
