Have You ACCEPTed YOUROFFER OF ADMISSION?uLink & Your Campus LoginULink is your single sign-on gatewayto the tools you need for a successfulacademic experience including the Bridge,Moodle, email, important dates, studentopportunities and more!If you have not already done so, set up your Campus Login:1.Have your nine-digit uLethbridge ID number(from your Offer of Admission) available.2.Go to ulink.ulethbridge.ca and select “Need help?”under the login button. Select “I need a user name”3.You will be asked to enter your 9-digit uLethbridgeID number and birthdate.4.Follow the steps to select a username, passwordand security questions.You will use this username and password to log in to the ULink as well asmany other important tools at uLethbridge, including the Bridge, email,library account and Moodle. It is a good idea to change your passwordregularly at ulethbridge.ca/webtools.2You should have already received your Offer of Admission in an email sent to the addressyou used when you applied to the University. In order to confirm your admission you needto accept your offer and pay the tuition deposit. This deposit is non-refundable and will beapplied to your tuition costs for your first term.Your Offer of Admission has an expiry date, so if you need more time to confirm your offer,please contact our Admissions Office prior to the deadline at admissions@uleth.ca.How to Accept Your Offer of Admission1. Online: Simply click on the link in your Offer of Admission and log into the Bridge.You can accept your offer and pay your tuition deposit using a credit card.2. Mail: You can pay by cheque, online banking or money order, but do not send cash inthe mail. Print off your Confirmation of Admission, complete the information requiredand mail your form and payment to:Registrar’s OfficeUniversity of LethbridgeSU140, 4401 University Drive WestLethbridge, AB T1K 3M43. In person: Visit the Registrar’s Office in the Student Union Building (SU140) and hand inyour completed Confirmation of Admission form with your tuition deposit. You can paywith cash, cheque, debit, credit card or online banking.4. By fax: print and fill out your Confirmation of Admission form and fax to 403-329-5159.You can pay your tuition deposit by credit card or through online banking.After you confirm your admission, payments made towards your tuition and student accountwill be handled through the Cash Office. The Cash Office is unable to process credit cardpayments for tuition. These payments will need to be made using one of our other options;cash, cheque, money order or online banking. As onlinecommunication is a major component of student success, students are strongly encouraged to have theiremail address listed as part of the Campus Directory, which is accessible only to members of the uLethbridgecommunity. Information for New StudentsAcademic CalendarHigh School Course PrerequisitesBachelor of EducationThe Academic Calendar contains all of the dates and deadlines you need to knowduring your academic career, as well as general information about the University,academic regulations and program information. It is published once per calendaryear. The Academic Calendar in effect the year you are admitted outlines therequirements you will need to meet for your program. Your calendar year can befound on the Bridge. If you take a break from your studies, you will follow the programrequirements of the current Academic Calendar when you are readmitted. As youmove through your program, you will be governed by the current Calendar in all otherareas (e.g., academic regulations, fees, course prerequisites).Some of our programs require specific high school courses for admission or asprerequisites for required courses in that program. It is your responsibility to ensurethat you have the necessary prerequisites for the courses required in your program.You can view required and recommended high school course prerequisites by majorat: vailabilityIf you are unsure or have questions, please contact your academic advisor.ulethbridge.ca/ross/academic-advisingOnce you have accepted your offer of admission to the BEd or a combined degreeprogram with BEd, we will register you in Professional Semester I. For example, to be eligible for the Bachelor ofArts degree, students must have completed at least 20 courses at uLethbridge, includingthe last 10 taken for credit toward the degree. Students in the fouryear BN program will register in and attend courses at Lethbridge College for the firsttwo years and uLethbridge for the final two years of the program. BNAD students willregister in and attend most courses at Lethbridge College for the first two terms andthen complete the program at uLethbridge.Information regarding registration in your fall courses as well as the date and timefor the mandatory orientation meeting in September will be provided by LethbridgeCollege following receipt and processing of your acceptance and deposit. If you havequestions in the meantime, please call the Lethbridge College Call Centreat 403-320-3323.Scholarships and Student Loans: While registered at Lethbridge College, scholarshipsand student loans are administered through the Lethbridge College Student AwardsOffice. You must be admitted to the program and have your Lethbridge Collegestudent ID number before you can apply. Their awards application is July 1. Visitlethbridgecollege.ca/awards for more information.Residence Requirement (BN): Eligibility for the Bachelor of Nursing degree iscontingent upon the successful completion of 20 courses (60.0 credit hours) atuLethbridge, including a minimum of 12 in Nursing and Health Sciences. In order tomeet this requirement, students must complete all third- and fourth-year courses atuLethbridge, including two of the four electives required in the program.It is critical that you attend the mandatory orientation for Professional Semester I; ifnot, your registration may be cancelled.Bachelor of Fine Arts: Theatre and Dramatic ArtsTransfer and Post-diploma Performance Majors: To register in DRAM 3310 (Acting:Scene Study I), you must pass an audition with the Drama Department. Details areavailable at itional-requirements.Calgary CampusCalgary Campus offers several programs including a Post-Diploma Bachelor of HealthSciences in Public Health and, through the Dhillon School of Business, a Bachelor ofManagement (BMgt), Post-Diploma BMgt, Management Certificate, and ProfessionalDiploma in Accounting. Our classes are offered in the evenings and on weekends soyou can continue to work, balance family life and further your education. We know the start of a new experiencecan be overwhelming, but we also have people who are here to support youevery step of the way.Shortly after you accept your offer, you will begin to receive Mentor Mail inyour uLethbridge email account. This website has information,links to register for upcoming events like New Student Orientation and contactinformation for staff who can help you as you prepare to come to university.Next Steps also includes important dates, major events and key deadlines. Makesure you mark these dates on your calendar dlines.The To-do ListThe To-do list is found on the Next Steps website. It is a complete listing of allthe things you need to do between now and your first weeks on campus. Werecommend you print it off and take a look at it every few weeks. Your mentor willbe giving you updates and mentioning the To-do list in mentor mail as you get closerto the start of your semester.After you accept your offer, the next big step is registering for your courses. Toensure you get the courses you want at the times you want, register as soon asyou can. Your registration date will be indicated in your Offer of Admission email.The Next Steps website is a great resource with a step by step guide to the courseregistration process.You’ll need your program planning guide and transfer credit statement(see pg 6 and 7) as you prepare for registration.Fund your EducationuLethbridge has many scholarships for new students; all you need to do is apply.If the application in the Bridge is not available yet, don’t worry. We will email youas soon as it opens. However, it will only be available for a limited time so apply assoon as you can. Our Scholarships and Student Finance office can also help youwith exploring other funding options, such as government student loans and awardsexternal to uLethbridge. The Online Check-In System is the best way to obtain aresident parking permit. These permits are allocated on a first-come,first-serve basis prior to the fall term. If you require a parking pass,plan to purchase online via the Online Check-In System. Once thesystem is closed, you should plan to purchase a pass via ParkingServices as they are available. Students have the option of purchasingyearly, eight-month or term permits, with eight-month permits beingthe most popular. There is short-term parking in various lots oncampus at pay-and-park dispensers. Students living in residence whohave a vehicle must purchase a resident parking pass.Student MentorsEvery new student is assigned a mentor who communicates withthem through Mentor Mail and personal emails. Your mentor ishere to support you with advice, answers to your questions, toshare information or contacts and to help you take on all the newchanges and challenges of your first term.
