PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGEGreetings,My first year as principal at Colerain High School was a huge success! It is my pleasure to thank thestaff, students, and wonderful community for welcoming and supporting me along this journey.Colerain High School’s rich tradition of excellence continues. In addition to our various athletic andcreative and performing art achievements, this year we had a record breaking number of students whoreceived the distinction of Summa Cum Laude, the highest academic honor. 30 students in the class of2015 had a grade point average of at least a 5.5 on a weighted scale. In addition, this year’s graduatingclass of 450 students earned over 7.4 million in academic and athletic scholarships. This year was we transitioned to the state’s new assessment model, PARCC (Partnership of Assessmentof Readiness for College and Careers) and AIR (American Institutes for Research). This new onlineassessment model provides performance based and end of year tests for English, Math, Science, and Social Studies. As we awaitthe results of these assessments, we are proud to again report that our sophomores performed very well on the outgoing stateassessment, the OGT (Ohio Graduation Test). Preliminary results indicate that we met all of the state targets.Dr. Kristilynn TurneyNext year, we look forward to another exciting year. This summer, I plan to review my first year and make positive changes for theyears to come.Thank you for your continued support and cooperation. The class of ’55 was small, andtherefore everyone was known to the other.Danny was known by all, liked by all and didnot have an unkind thought or word foranyone. Though attending differentuniversities and living in different parts of thecountry, Danny and I remained friends. Dannyremained friends with other classmates, especially Pauline and Bert. As we approachour 60th anniversary, we will think of Dannyand all our classmates that have gone on. Ihope to see all of my remaining classmates atour 60th reunion. Robert P.
