Jan deRoosAssociate ProfessorCornell University School of Hotel AdministrationJan A. deRoos is an associate professor at the School ofHotel Administration, where he has taught since 1988. Hehas devoted his career to hospitality real estate; with a focuson the valuation, financing, development, and operation oflodging, timeshare, and restaurant assets. He holds BS, MS, andPhD degrees from Cornell University, all with majors in HotelAdministration. His areas of teaching expertise span a rangeof hospitality real estate topics; property valuation, hospitalityasset management, feasibility studies, hotel/resort planningand design, hotel/resort development and construction, andtimeshare/vacation ownership.
