It is the student's responsibility to choose subjectswhose schedules do not overlap.TimetableWe will email the timetables to students as soon asthey are confirmed.Students can check timetables and exam informationat the noticeboard in their faculty.EnrolmentStudents will be enrolled once the LearningAgreement has been approved on Relint and by thehome university.Once classes have started, students haveapproximately two weeks to make changes tothe subjects they are enrolled in.How to proceed:1. Contact the academic coordinator at UICBarcelonaChanges to the Learning Agreement2. If the academic coordinator at UICBarcelona approves the changes, contactthe academic coordinator at your homeuniversity.3. If the academic coordinator at your homeuniversity approves the changes, thestudent must enter these changes in the“modifications” section in the LearningAgreement online.4. Students must notify their coordinator byemail of any changes made.Students on the Erasmus mobilityprogramme: see the document “OLAinstructions for Erasmus incoming students”.Students on an Erasmus/workexperience/bilateral agreement/visitor/SICUEmobility programme: see the document “Howto prepare your L.A. in Relint 3.0”We will let you know the deadline when you arrive.After the deadline, no further changes to theLearning Agreement will be accepted.AttendanceAttendance is mandatory. Absences must bejustified. Students with less than 50% attendancemay be expelled from the course.Exam dates will be published during each semester.In the first semester, the final exam period for 1stand 2nd year subjects will be in January, while theexam period for 3rd and 4th year subjects will be inDecember.ExamsIn the second semester, the final exam period willbe in May-June for all courses.Exam dates cannot be changed, unless there isa medical justification. To change any officialexam at UIC Barcelona (including resit exams),students must:1. Send a formal request to the facultysecretary prior to the date of the exam.2. If the secretary approves the request, this

decision must be confirmed by the lecturer forthe subject at UIC Barcelona.If exam dates overlap, students must inform thefaculty secretary via an official form, giving at leasttwo weeks notice, so that a solution can be found.Otherwise, students will not be able to take one ofthe exams.Only in very specific cases can student absence byjustified. The faculty secretary must be informed viaan official form in advance of any absence.Absence at an exam is equivalent to not showingup.Copying an exam will be sanctioned with a scoreof zero.For more detailed information, students should consultUIC Barcelona internal guidelines and the assessmentprocess for each subject.How to process complaints/applicationsAll applications will be processed by the facultysecretary. Before making an application, werecommend talking to your coordinator and theInternational Relations service.Exchange students will have to pay tuition fees toUIC Barcelona. Payment will be made as soon asthe student arrives at UIC Barcelona and hasenrolled their Learning Agreement and any changesthey want to make.Tuition payments for exchange studentsStudents must contact the faculty secretary torequest an enrolment form and instructions on how topay tuition. These documents can be downloadedfrom the intranet. Only one payment is allowed, viabank transfer or credit card. Tuition cannot be paid ininstalments.If students want to take subjects from severalfaculties, they must get the corresponding enrolmentforms from each faculty.The price for 1 ECTS credit in 2021-2022 is:Subjects taught in Spanish 170/ECTSSubjects taught in English 180/ECTSTeaching ModelsUIC Barcelona is a face-to-face university. In thecase that the pandemic does not allow us tocontinue with 100% face-to-face classes, we willoffer other teaching models:Online Model: 100% online teaching.Blended model: Teaching will be offered online inreal-time, with some students in the classroom andsome students studying from home.
