In 1994, Lutheran HealthSystem assumed management responsibility for the hospitaland purchased the hospital from St. Mary’s Hospital in 1999.That year, the Lutheran Health System merged with SamaritanHealth and became Banner Health. Banner Health decided tobuild a new facility north of town and the new Banner LassenMedical Center opened in May 2003.A 25-bed, critical access hospital, Banner Lassen offers quality care, close to home. In addition to providing patients witha safe, efficient and caring environment, Banner Lassen offers a wide range of programs and services to aid in prevention,diagnosis and treatment of illness. They offer private rooms and home-like birthing suites.Banner Lassen is the second largest employer in Lassen County. MISSION STATEMENTThe staff of Colorado River Medical Center is dedicated to providingthe people of Needles and the surrounding tri-state service areawith cost effective, quality health care and medical services. Theseservices will be provided to all citizens without regard to race, religionor ability to pay.Colorado River Medical Center (CRMC) is a licensed 25-bed ruralgeneral acute care hospital with a critical access designation. Locatedin the heart of Needles, California, it serves not only the residents ofNeedles but also travelers on Interstate 40, Highway 95, the residentsof the lower Mohave Valley, Arizona, and approximately 3,100 squaremiles of the outlying areas of unincorporated San Bernardino County. CRMC provides a fully-staffed, 24-hour EmergencyDepartment. Other services include: x-ray, pharmacy, out-patient surgery, laboratory services, dietary services, andother hospital related support services. CRMC also has airship capabilities should medical transfers be necessary.
