Information on the enhancements can be found in KB 545871. Dellrecommends updating the Data Domain operating system version which aligns to the family versionwithin your integrated appliance environment. Ensure current firmware is applied as part of this upgrade.-IDPA 2.2 should first update the IDPA version to 2.5 and then update the PowerProtect DDcomponent to Data Domain operating system version 7.1.0.40 (or above).IDPA 2.3, 2.3.1, 2.4, and 2.4.1 should update the PowerProtect DD component to Data Domainoperating system version 6.2.1.30 (or above)IDPA 2.5 should update the PowerProtect DD component to Data Domain operating systemversion 7.1.0.40 (or above)Note: IDPA 2.6 (or above) already contains this enhancement as part of the Release – noadditional actions are necessary.P a g e 3 10
