DATA QOALIFI*RSV —Indicates the confound was analyzed for but not detected. The numberadjacent to the -U" qualifier indicates the reporting limit for thatcompound. The reporting limit can vary from sample to sample dependingon dilution factors or percent moisture adjustment when indicated.J — Indicates an estimated value. It is used when the data indicates thepresence of a compound below the stated reporting limit.C — This flag applies to GC pesticide results only. The "C" flag indicatesthe presence of this compound has been confirmed by OC/MS analysis.(This definition is still being reviewed and discussed).B — This flag is used when the analyte is found in the associated blank aswell as the sample. This notation indicates possible blankcontamination and suggests the data user evaluate these compounds andtheir amounts carefully.C — This qualifier indicates that the value reported exceeds the linearcalibration range for that compound. Therefore, the sample should bereanalyzed at an appropriate dilution. The «" qualified amount is anestimated concentration, and the results of the dilution will bereported on a separate Form I.D — This qualifier indicates compounds which have been identified during adiluted reanalysis. "D" qualifiers are used for samples that have beenanalyzed initially at a lesser dilution than required for accuratequantitation.* — This qualifier indicates that the response for the compound exceeded thelinear range of the instrument. Therefore, this is an estimatedconcentration.P — This qualifier is used for a pesticide/Aroclor target analyte when thereis greater than 25% difference for detected concentrations between thetwo GC columns. The lower of the two values is reported on Form I andflagged with a "P".N — This qualifier indicates presumptive evidence of a compound. This flagis only used for tentatively identified compounds, where theidentification is based on a mass spectral library search. It isapplied to all TIC results. For generic characterization of a TIC,such as chlorinated hydrocarbon, the "«" qualifier is not used.A — This qualifier indicates that a TIC is a suspected aldol-condenaationproduct.

OMQABTC LAB SAMPLE IDThe qualifier* that may b* appended to the Lab Sample ID for organic analysesar« defined belowsDL—Dilution Run. Indicates the sample contained compoundsexceeding the calibration range. The sample was diluted andreanalyzed. Both results are reported.R—Rerun. The sample was reanalyzed. The "R* is not used if thesample was also re-extracted.KB—Re-extraction Analysis. The sample was re-extracted andreanalyzed.MS—Matrix Spike (may be followed by a digit to indicate multiplematrix spikes within a sample set)MSD—Matrix Spike Duplicate (may be followed by a digit to indicatemultiple matrix spike duplicates within a sample set)ii
