The average gift so far isstill just under 250. If we keep at that rate we can farsurpass our expectations.14 vital ministries depend upon these funds. Our parishuses and depends upon these ministries.Once we reach the diocesan goal, all of the surplus willgo for parish projects which include: Updating the air-conditioning in Fr. In the first reading,Moses reminds the Israelites that the laws, which arealready in their hearts, keep them in right relationshipwith the God who loves them so much that they alwaysfind forgiveness. Centuries later, along comes Jesus, whom Paul describes to the Colossians as “the image ofthe invisible God,” the very embodiment of this God oflove. In his parable about the good Samaritan, Jesusexplains how the law of love overrules the letter of thelaw. Instead of answering the question “Who is myneighbor?” Jesus demonstrates that it is not about who isworthy of being loved, but rather loving as God loves—about being neighbor, about being the good Samaritan.Jesus wants us to continue his work as images of thisGod of love by loving all people, even those who seem tobe our enemies.Copyright J. Are thereways that I can do better?Collect text from the English translation of The Roman Missal, 2010, International Commission onEnglish in the Liturgy Corporation. All rights reserved.Copyright J. S. Paluch Company, Inc.LOVE GODWhat does it mean to God with all our heart, being, strength, and mind? We turn our hearts to God in prayer, quiet moments of reflection, and participation in the Massand sacraments. Our whole being may turn to the Lord intrust in the midst of troubled times or when we needcourage. We find strength to live as Christ’s people, evenwhen faced with the questions, doubts, and derision ofothers. We may turn to the Lord with our mind as weprayerfully read sacred scripture and learn more fully theteaching of the Church. All of these things point to asingular desire to know God deeply. The love we havefor God is, after all, a reflection of the great love God hasfor each of us.REVELATIONIn the Old Testament, the New Testament lies concealed;in the New Testament, the Old Testament lies revealed.—St. AugustineWEEKLY PARISH SUPPORTDeposits for the week of June 30-July 6, 2022:Sunday Offertory Adults: 2,540.50Monthly Collection: 2,858.00Loose Collection: 155.50Total Offertory: 5,554.00Twin Parish Collection: 170.00Christmas Club: 353.00Votive Candles: 22.00Rent: 1,000.00Add’l Mission Co-op: 135.00Mass Stipemds: 680.00Other Receipts: 243.52TOTAL DEPOSIT: 8,156.52May God continue to bless you for your support of SaintTherese Parish and its programs.

EUCHARISTIC REVIVAL MOVEMENTThe dioceses of the United States are launching a threeyear movement aiming to increase understanding ofand devotion to the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in theEucharist. Year One phase, which began on the Feast ofCorpus Christi (June 19) with Mass and processionin Loretto, will promote explanation and devotionof the Holy Eucharist on a diocesan level. Besidesexplanations about the importance of the Eucharistin the life of the diocese, there will probably someevents to foster our appreciation. Perhaps somethinglike the Nocturnal Adoration Society with itsmonthly activity. Year Two phase, will begin on June 11, 2023, withfostering Eucharistic devotion and strengtheningLiturgical life on the parish level. Hopefully we canlearn the importance of Mass as the central devotionof the parish, and perhaps develop other ways to beaware of how to include the Real Presence of Christin our lives. Recent attempts to promote a weeklyAdoration obviously was not the answer, BUT howto ascertain when and how often to hold devotions. And besides Mass and Exposition of the Sacrament, what else can be done? Year Three phase, will be inaugurated with aNational Eucharistic Congress (June 17-21, 2024)and conclude with dedication to going out inmission to share the gift of our Eucharistic Lord. There will be more on who will be eligible toattend So save the dates.Monday, July 11, 2022 - St. Benedict7:45 AM MARY LOUISE FORR (Helen Hoover)Tuesday, July 12, 20227:45 AM JAMES LUCIANO (Mike & Sherry Byrnes)Wednesday, July 13, 2022 - St. Henry9:00 AM JAMES TURIANO (Gene & Lorraine Adams)Thursday, July 14, 2022 - St. Kateri7:45 AM GEORGE LEPORE (Jeff Mayernick)Friday, July 15, 2022 - St. Bonaventure7:45 AM JOSEPH TATE (Rae & Joseph Kapfhammer)Saturday, July 16, 2022 - Our Lady of Mount Camel8:00 AM CHRISTINE AIRHART NOEL(Marian Airhart Family)5:00 PM FOR ALL GOD’S PEOPLE (Altoona CatholicDaughters)Sunday, July 17, 2022- 16th Sunday in Ordinary Time8:00 AM FOR OUR PARISH FAMILY10:30 AM CATHOLIC DAUGHTERS OF THEAMERICAS (State Court)July 16 & 17, 2022ALTAR SERVERS5:00 PM VOLUNTEER8:00 AM Colin Etters10:30 AM Brody GartmannREADERS5:00 PM Raymalee Frank8:00 AM John Bravin10:30 AM Mary Beth Schmidhamer,James GrecoEUCHARISTIC MINISTERS5:00 PM Christine Kepner8:00 AM Kimberly Etters10:30 AM Deacon Thomas McFeeLOVE NEIGHBORJesus’ parable of the Good Samaritan points to theimpact our love of God is to have in our lives. Thepriest and Levite were more concerned with observingthe letter of the law rather than living its essence. TheSamaritan found himself unable to pass by withoutcoming to the traveler’s aid. Who are the travelerswhom we meet? What is our response? Are we sofilled with the love of God that we cannot ignore thesuffering of hunger or homelessness, the needs of thelonely and sick? Loving God necessitates loving ourneighbor. We cannot have one without the other. Jesusshows us that the love we are to share is selfless, sacrificial. The Samaritan not only cared for thetraveler’s wounds, but took him to find shelter and paidfor his care. He went the extra mile on the journey offaith. Who is your neighbor today? How will you lovehim or her?GREETERS/USHERS5:00 PM Leonard Haduck, David Mason8:00 AM Linda Guida, Robert Gallagher, III10:30 AM Dana Boslet, Diana Hite, Paul Hite,Marita ForrREPORT ON MISSALETTESOCP, the company who print both our hymnals and ourmissalettes, has changed its format.
