Many of the nation’slargest healthcare and educational facilities prefer the Apex forit’s aesthetic design and efficient engineering. All Apex 2000Series Exit Devices are UL listed for panic and fire hardwareand are certified to ANSI A156.3 Grade 1. Several models arealso certified for hurricane resistant applications.A complete offering of mechanical and electrical options providea wide range of exit device security solutions. However, thetraditional core strenghts of the product can’t be overstated.Simple operation with few moving parts, manufactured with trueANSI/BHMA architectural finishes. The chassis is constructedfrom investment cast steel and the universal mounting holesprovide an easier retrofit installation.The Apex Wide Stile Series Exit Devices accommodate doorswith vision lites or glass windows where the vision lite framesor moldings project up to 1/4 beyond the face of the door. TheActive Case and End Cap Mounting Bracket are mounted onthe face of the door without shims or without cutting the glassmolding. These devices have a 1/4” gap between the face ofthe door and the Touchbar Assembly. This gap allows properfunctioning of the devices even on doors which are not perfectlyflat. Since the Active Case is mounted directly on the face ofthe door, it accommodates standard lengths of through boltingscrews, thumbpieces, knob & lever Trim fingers, and cylinder tailpieces.Exit DeviceQuiet OperationSound Dampeners reduce the noise associated with Exit Deviceoperation on the depression and return stroke of the Touchpad.21/4” GapAPEXDoor (Top View)2000SE
