Shebelieves, "Real change, enduring change, happens one step at atime"Our positions are rooted in our member-approved PublicPolicy Priorities at both the national and state levels. TheAAUW California Public Policy Priorities for 2019-2021 wereapproved by our members this spring, and can be found onthe website www.aauw-ca.org . It is so important that branch members be up to dateon AAUW positions on federal and state legislationconsistent with AAUW’s mission, and contact electedofficials to share our positions. And we must hold those wehave elected accountable as they vote on issues affectingwomen and girls.Note: The first female Associate Justice of the Supreme Courtwas Sandra Day O’Connor who was appointed by PresidentRonald Regan and served from 1981-2006 when she retired.Start now!
