MILLMATE The MILLMATE is a pneumatically actuated lifting aid forreducing the manual effort required when moving larger ring millbowls between the Labtech Essa model LM1 or LM2 mill and thework bench.The Labtech Essa MILLMATE is a special purpose radial slewing hoist for supporting the weightof the pulverising bowl while being transferred between the laboratory mill and work bench. It isparticularly suited to reducing operator effort when Labtech Essa bigger bowl assemblies such asthe B2000 are being used on the Labtech Essa models LM1, LM1.5 or LM2 mills. Adaptations arealso available for smaller bowls (and a special purpose adaptation is standard with the LabtechEssa model LM5 mill).The MILLMATE hoist ismounted on a vertical mastthat fits conveniently betweenthe mill and work bench. Thehoisting movement isachieved pneumatically whilethe operator provides thesmall amount of manual effortrequired for the radial slewingmovement.The whole bowl assembly issupported in a “weightless”condition during the transferbetween the mill and bench(and return) in a special cradlesuspended by a link chainfrom the tip of theMILLMATE hoist. TheA Labtech Essa model B2000bowl being carried “weightless” in thecradle is manuallyMILLMATE cradle. RING MILL BOWLS1 of 3A unique range of bowls from 10 to 2000cc nominal capacityThe Labtech Essa programme of ring mill bowls is unique because it includes 3 sizes ofinternationally patented high capacity and performance bowls together with a range oftraditional ring and roller type bowls.The patented bowls consist of a single,solid “flying saucer” shaped puckoperating in a bowl with a concavecurved bottom surface. The mass ofthis single puck in combination with thespatula like grinding interaction between its lower curved surface and thatof the bowl provides superior pulverising with grinding performance. Thepuck also has an off-centre, truncatedhole through it to assist in the mixing ofthe sample to assure homogeniety.These bowls are of through hardenedsteel construction for optimum life. MODEL LM5Laboratory Ring Mill2 of 2The pulverising bowl of the Labtech Essa model LM5 mill is permanently attached to the vibratingplatform of the mill during all normal operations. Only the puck is removed; with the aid of thepneumatically actuated MILLMATE . The bowl is filled and emptied manually.Residue is vacuumed from the bowl. A vacuum gun assembly is supplied as standard for thispurpose, together with 3 metres of flexible hose for connection to the customer’s dust collectionsystem. Some customers prefer to connect direct to their dust collection system with an openended flexible hose as shown in the photo at the bottom ofthis page and in our demonstration video.The design of the bowl is based on Labtech Essa internationally patented concept of a single, solid “flying saucer”shaped puck operating in a curved bottom bowl. HORNOS DE SECADO DE MUESTRASCARACTERISTICAS TECNICASHorno para Secado de Muestras LABTECH HEBROFabricación ChilenaEstos equipos son fabricados por Labtech Hebro Chile,manteniendo sus diseños idénticos a los construidos enorigen, sólo que con el propósito de reducir costos detransporte, debido a sus grandes volúmenes, tanto susestructuras soportantes, como sus revestimientosinteriores, exteriores y elementos aislantes, sonfabricados localmente en Chile según planos de losoriginales australianos. Sin embargo, otros elementoscomo, calefactores, turbinas de aire forzado, motores,cierres de puertas, termocuplas, elementos de control yotros, son importados desde Australia.Actualmente en Chile, se están fabricando para el elmercado latinoamericano, los equipos de 1, 2 y 4 m3 decapacidad, con uno, dos y cuatro carros portamuestrasrespectivamente.Entre las características más relevantes de estoshornos, están su gran comodidad y seguridad para eloperador, ya que todos ellos disponen de baja potencia(para sus grandes tamaños) y alta eficiencia; sistema decontrol de temperatura especialmente exacto para elinterior de la cámara y termocupla de seguridad (exceptomodelo DO0.8ME), que actúa ante una eventual falla delcontrolador de temperatura, evitando que ésta aumentemás de lo deseado.
