The initial purchaser is definedas the first person to purchase a new Coleman Powersports product froman Authorized Retailer of Coleman Powersports products.The limited warranty period for this product is 90 days from the date ofpurchase shown on the original sales receipt.What is a Defect?The Product is warranted to be free from manufacturing defects in materialand workmanship for a period of 90 days from the date of purchase shownon the sales receipt. DESCRIPTION AND PART FUNCTIONSIgnition Switch (1): When theignition switch is placed in the(ON) position the engine can start.When the ignition switch is placedin the (OFF) position the engine willnot start, or will turn off, if running.1Brake Pedal (3): Depressing thebrake pedal will stop the Go Kart.Note: Always check brakes beforeoperationGas Pedal (4): Depressing gas pedalwill increase engine RPMs causingGo Kart to move forward.354Parking Brake (5): Depressing thebrake pedal and activating the Parking brake pin will set the parkingbrake.Note: Always set parking brakebefore starting the Go-Kart67Speed limiter bolt/(6)To limit the top speed, turn thethrottle pedal speed regulator bolt(6) counter clockwise until thedesired stop position is achieved.Re-tighten Jam nut (7) againstthe skid plate once adjustment iscompleted.7

DESCRIPTION AND PART FUNCTIONS!SEAT ADJUSTMENTWARNINGFailure to have the seatlocked in position couldbe hazardous.The seat coming loosecould cause the operatorto loose control.Never operate the Go Kartwithout the seat locked inplace.Seat adjustment (1)1The seat bolts are located on eachside of the seat. Loosen bolts onboth sides of the seat to move theseat forward or backward . Beforeoperating the Go Kart after seatadjustment, make sure the bolts onboth sides of the seat are tight andthe seat is secure.9

FUEL AND OILFUEL! WARNINGNever use leaded gasoline in thisFuel and fuel vapor are highlyflammable and toxic. You canbe burned or poisoned whilerefueling.product. Leaded fuel could affectthe engine’s emissions and damagethe engine.Go Kart requires clean unleadedregular gasoline with a minimumoctane rating of 87 or higher.Gasoline/ Ethanol blendsA blend of unleaded gasoline withEthanol, also known as GASOHOL, ator below 10% (E10 ) can be used inyour Go Kart. Ethanol greater than10% can damage your engine andwill void your warranty.Gasoline/Methanol BlendsA blend of gasoline with Methanolof 5% or less can be used in your GoKart. Do not use gasoline, underany circumstances, containing morethan 5% Methanol, doing so willdamage your engine and will void thewarranty.Before refueling make sure tofollow the procedures listed:1 Shut off engine, Make surethere are no flames, sparks orheat sources close by.2 Make sure engine has cooled3 Refuel only outdoors in awell ventilated area.4 Do not smoke while refueling.5 Wipe up any spills immediately.6 Avoid breathing any fuelvapors.7 Keep children and pets away.ENGINE OILThe recommended oil for this GoKart is SAE10W-30 motor oil, if thisoil is not available, any of the oils onthe chart below will work. Note thetemperature requirements for eachof the oils.Quantity of oil - .63qt. (.6L).!WARNINGOverfilling the fuel tank cancause the fuel to expand whichcan cause overflow due to theheat from the engine or sun.Spilled fuel can catch fire.Never fill the fuel tank above thebottom edge of the filler neck.10

PRE-RIDE INSPECTIONInspecting and checking thecondition of the Go Kart before eachride is important. Following thepre-ride check list will help insurethe you do not have mechanicalproblems which could result ininjury or becoming stranded. Go Kart tiresare designed for off-road useonly, paved surfaces adverselyaffect handling and control.Never operate a Go Kart onsteep hills.Avoid operating Go Kart onpaved surfaces. If you mustcross a paved surface, go slowand do not make sudden turnsor stops.!WARNINGOperating this Go Kart on anypublic road or highway could behazardous.You could collide with anothervehicle if you operate on publicroads or highways resulting insevere injury or death.Never operate on public roadsor highways.12

OPERATING THE GO KART1HELMET, EYEPROTECTION,PROTECTIVECLOTHING23Always wear a DOT certifiedhelmet (1). A helmet helps protectagainst serious head injuries in theevent of an accident. A helmetis the most important safety gearitem you can wear. Consult witha motorcycle dealer for the correctsize and type of helmet that is rightfor you.456! WARNINGAlways wear eye protection whenoperating a Go Kart such as a faceshield or goggles (2). While operating a Go Kart you can be hit in theeyes by any of the following: dust,branches, rocks, debris from otheroperators, bugs, etc. Good eye protection as well as a helmet andprotective operating gear should bemandatory when operating a GoKart.Operating a Go Kart without ahelmet, eye protection, and protective clothing can behazardousOperating a Go Kart without ahelmet increases the chance ofsevere head injury or death inthe event of an accident.Operating a Go Kart without eyeprotection such as a face shieldor goggles could result insevere injury in the event of anaccident.Wear protective clothing: Longsleeve shirt (3), Gloves (4), Longpants (5), over the ankle boots (6).Operating a Go Kart exposes theoperator to many hazards, wearingprotective clothing can help protectthe operator from injury.Operating a Go Kart withoutprotective clothing; closedtoe shoes, long pants, gloves,long sleeve shirt could result insevere injury in the event of anaccident.Always wear a Helmet, eye protection, long pants, long sleeveshirt, over the ankle boots andgloves while operating a GoKart.13

OPERATING THE GO KARTSEAT BELTS!WARNINGRiding in this go kart withoutthe seat belt harness worn andattached properly could behazardousRiding the go kart without theseat belt harness wornincreases the chance of injuryor death in the event of anaccidentNever operate the go kart without the seat belt harness wornand attached properly.1To connect the seat belt harness,properly sit in the seat and placearms through the shoulder straps(1) After shoulder strap is in place,buckle the lap belt (2) and tightenby pulling the loose ends (3) .3214

OPERATING THE GO KARTSTARTING ENGINETo start the engine1. Set the parking brake by depressing the brake pedal and setting the parking brake pin (1).12. Place the fuel valve (2) in the“ON” (vertical) position.3. If engine is cold, place the chokelever (3) in the “ON” (right) position.24. Place the ON/OFF switch (4),located on the Steering column, inthe “ON” position.35. Pull the starter recoil cord (5) tostart the engine.6. Once engine has warmed up for afew minutes, place the choke lever(3) back to the “OFF” (left)position.!4WARNINGStarting or running the Go Kartin an enclosed area such as agarage or shed where there isno ventilation is hazardous.Inhaling exhaust fumes from theGo Kart can cause severe injuryor death.5Never start or run the Go Kart inan inclosed environment wherethere is no ventilation. Alwaysstart and run outdoors.15

OPERATING THE GO KARTSTARTING OFF!1. Start and warm up the engineaccording to the instructions in thismanual.2. Sit down in the go-kart andfasten seat belt.WARNINGOperating this Go-Kart at excessive speeds could be hazardous.Driving at excessive speeds increases your chances of losingcontrol of the Go-Kart, whichcould result in severe injury ordeath.3. Deactivate the parking brake byapplying the brake then releasing.4. Apply throttle gradually to startoff. Practice driving the go-kartslowly on a flat dirt surface, makesure that there is plenty of room forturning.Always go at a speed that isproper for the terrain, visibility,operating conditions, operatorskill, and operator experience.Always know the terrain beforeoperating.!WARNINGApplying the gas pedal to fullthrottle when starting off couldbe hazardous.!The Go-Kart could lurch forwardcausing the front wheels toleave the ground causing lossof control.WARNINGAlways open the throttlegradually when starting off froma stopped position.Removing hands from the Steering wheel and/or feet from thefloorboard while operating theGo-Kart could be hazardous.!Removing both or one handfrom the Steering wheel and/orfeet from the floorboard couldresult in loss of control of theGo-Kart resulting in severeinjury or death.WARNINGBraking while turning could behazardous.Braking while turning couldcause the Go-Kart to slide out ofcontrol or flip over which couldresult in severe injury or death.Always Operate with both handson the steering wheel and bothfeet on the floorboard whileoperating the Go-Kart.Before making a turn, slowdown and release the brake.16

OPERATING THE GO KARTCLIMBING A HILLDESCENDING A HILL1. Stop and evaluate the hill beforeattempting to climb. Make sure thehill is not too steep, the terrain is notloose or slippery and that there areno obstacles.2. Approach the hill at a steadyspeed and maintain speed throughout the climb.3. When approaching the top ofthe hill, slow down.To operate the Go Kart going down ahill, follow the instructions below.1. Stop and evaluate the hill beforeattempting to descend. Make surethe hill is not too steep, the terrain isnot loose or slippery and that thereare no obstacles.2. Do not go down the hill on asharp angle, this could cause the GoKart to flip over. Instead, go straightdown the hill. Apply the brakes onthe way down.If it is determined that the Go Kartwill not make it to the top of the hill:1. Do not try to turn the Go Kartaround while operating and comeback down, this could cause the GoKart to roll over.TRAVERSING A HILL!WARNING2. Slowly back the Go Kart down theTraversing a hill could behill while applying the brakes.hazardous.Traversing a hill could result inloosing control and flipping theGo Kart over.This could result in severeinjury or death.Never attempt to traverse a hillthat is too steep or has loose orslippery terrain.17

Make sure the water youare operating through is shallowand is not more than 5cm (2in)deep. Before crossing any waterlook at the terrain entering andexiting the water, the terrainshould have a gradual slope withno obstacles. The bottom of theriver or pool of shallow watershould be hard. If you do notknow the terrain or are not sureabout the bottom of the pool orriver, do attempt to enter.Remember to protect theenvironment, do not enter a riveror pool of water if doing so coulddamage the river bank or shoreline.!WARNINGOperating this Go Kart throughfast or deep water could behazardous;Deep or fast moving water couldcause the Go Kart to loose traction resulting in loss of controlwhich could lead to severeinjury or death.Never operate this Go Kartin water that is more than 2in(5cm) deep.
