A 325 initial payment is required tosubmit the application, so you may want to haveyour credit card handy. If you are under 18 years ofage please have your parent or guardian sign andsubmit the guarantor form.In order to receive a room assignment you must: If you are under 18 when you apply submit aguarantor form to our office. Accept admittance to the University ofNevada, Reno on MyNEVADA by June 15th. Provide verification of Meningococcalvaccination by June 15th. Make the second 325 payment by June15th. Enroll in 12 credits by June 15thImportant Information: The License Agreement encompasses theentire academic year or remainder thereof. For the best chance of being assigned to thehall of your choice or with a requestedroommate you need to apply by April 1. Applications received after April 1 will beassigned to halls on a space available basis. Assignments are made for new students inthe order in which their applications andinitial payment are received. requisites.Restricted Courses (not open to exchangestudents)Minimum and Maximum Number ofUnits/Credits for Full-Time Exchange StudentCompulsory Language Requirements ForExchange StudentsNone, provided that students take courses intheir program; e.g. exchange undergraduatestudents cannot take graduate courses. Someexception can be made upon approval of theChair of Department.Special Note for the College of Business – there isa very high demand for courses in the College ofBusiness. While exchange students are notrestricted from taking business courses, theyshould be aware that it may be more difficult toenroll in certain courses and they may need to beflexible with their course selection options.Undergraduate students must enroll in aminimum of 12 units/credits and up to 18maximum credits. Graduate students mustenroll in a minimum of 9 units/credits and up to16 maximum credits.Verification of having met the Englishrequirement through: Test of English as a Foreign Language(TOEFL) score of 61 (iBT-Internet-BasedTest) or 500 (Paper-Based Test). Pleaseindicate 'Institution Code 4844' and'Undergraduate 00' to EducationalTesting Service (ETS) to ensure that thescores are sent directly to UNR. International English Language TestingSystem (IELTS - must be academicversion) with an equivalency score of 6. Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academicwith an equivalency score of 57.
