However,documentation should be sent in as early as possible during the semester prior to your ABSN core start in order to seek approval of eachrequirement.A reminder will be sent after you are officially accepted into the program with additional details on completing each requirement. We arecontractually obligated to report flagged backgrounds to clinics or hospitals. Practicum sites will then determine if the student can be placed/accepted at the site for practicum. You will not be allowed to begin your clinical and lab hours once you start the program until these requirementsare completed with a clear result. If the student is able to successfully complete all of the courses in the pre-licensure nursing program, graduate,and pass the NCLEX-RN exam, the State Board of Nursing may need to decide if the student’s past charge/conviction warrants a license. It combines online learning withpractical, hands-on clinical practice. Due to the demanding nature of the program, students should not plan onworking while in the program.What is the length of the ABSN program? The ABSN program is 63 credit hours in as few as 16 months;however, the average student will take a range of 16-36 months for additional prerequisite requirements orpart-time options.How do I get my application started? Initially, submit a completed application with transcripts from allpreviously attended accredited institutions. Math is an essential component in the calculation of medicationdosages in the clinical setting. Every student is required to take a math quiz at the start of each semester andhas three opportunities to pass at 100%.Are there any other costs associated with the program? No, there are no nursing student dorms at our Oak Brook site.Can I continue directly into the MSN program?
