This growth will naturally fuel a spike ininfrastructure projects and large-scale residential developments.Unfortunately, the supply is not catching up to the demand,leading to a demand-supply deficit.2IMPORTED CEMENTOwing to the current deficit, imported cement from countrieslike Pakistan, Vietnam, Dubai and India, hold almost 15-20% ofthe market share. THE PLANTOur integrated cement manufacturing unit, spread over an areaof 100 hectares, is the most modern, fully automated and energyefficient plant of its kind in East Africa. At the core of all our endeavours, is ourSustainability and Environmental Policy.PIONEERING TECHNOLOGIES IN TANZANIAA vertical roller mill is being usedfor grinding the raw materials. Thisis an energy-efficient alternative toconventional ball roller mills.Surface miners being used forlimestone mining. In this method,there is no blasting and hence,minimal noise and dust pollution.Boiler based on Fluidised BedCombustion (FBC) technologybeing used at the power plant. FBCresults in low emission of nitric andsulphur oxides.
