WELCOME AND BOARD MEMBERS W E L C O M EWelcome to our 20th annual celebrationof food & fund drives and the people whomake them possible. 2010 marked themost successful year in SecondHarvest Food Bank’s historythrough the combined efforts ofmore than 2,000 food and funddrives. Tonight we celebrate you,our community champions, foryour tireless commitment andpassionate efforts to feed ourneighbors in need through yourgifts of time, dollars, and food.During this year of rising need, youacted boldly on the belief that hunger isunacceptable. Volunteers gave countlesshours of support, while thousands ofpeople just like you — individuals,foundations and corporations — gavegenerously to keep the nutritious foodflowing to those who need it most.As a community we have much successto celebrate. But our celebration istempered by the fact that hunger still hasa daily presence in the neighborhoodswe call home. We need to continuereducing, and ultimately ending, hungerin our community.
