GROOM SolutionsGroom Solutions DEODORIZATION ANDODOR CONTROL Cleaning ProceduresODOR REMOVALProfessional cleaners may be called upon to treat, deodorize or eliminate malodors that come from a variety of sources. Pet urine odorsare one of the most commonly encountered contamination problems in carpeting and upholstery, but there are other common malodorstoo. Common issues include cooking odors, tobacco smoke odors, bacterial and bad fungi odors, vomit, and other organic and proteinodors. More severe odor problems can be linked to skunk musk, smoke damage, mold and fungi odors, and decomposing protein. Theseverity of the odor contamination as well as the customer’s level of tolerance will play the biggest role in your treatment procedures.GENERAL TREATMENT CONSIDERATIONSAromacide Deodorizer, Malodor Modifier and PetForce are concentrated products that you will diluteaccording to the directions before using. They can beused effectively in a variety of application mechanisms.Regardless of the malodor you are treating there areseveral steps that you can take to assist in treating thearea and eliminating the odor. Locate and eliminate all sources of the odor Flush and physically remove or extract as much of thecontamination as possible You must apply at least as much deodorizing solution asthat proportionate to the odor causing material. Saturatespray direct areas of contamination to recreate theconditions that caused the odor with your AromacideDeodorizerTREATMENT PROCEDURES FORUSING MALODOR MODIFIER TREATMENT PROCEDURES FORUSING Aromacide DEODORIZERTREATMENT PROCEDURES FORUSING Pet Force Always pre-test on fabric to betreated for colorfastness first. For General PurposeDeodorizingMix 1 part solution with 4 partswater in a spray applicator. Saturatespray all areas of contamination.Oxidation using Pet Forceis a quick method to dealwith all three aspectsof urine deposits - odor, stain and contamination. For Wet (water based) FoggingMix 1 part solution with 3 partswater. Saturatespray or pour mixed solution onto contaminated area.Consider application with an injection system deepinto the carpet cushion and sub floor. For best results, allow the dwell for 15 minutes before extraction witha sub-surface extraction tool such as the Spot Lifter or Water Claw .Pet Force is mixed in a bucket of hot water. Shake well before using Mix 1 part solution with 2 parts water. In some severe situations it can be usedfull strength on areas that are wet. Saturate spray or pour on problemarea. Malodor Modifier beginsworking immediately, however varying dwell time is required depending on severity of the situation. You may want toconsider injecting mixed solution into carpet withsyringe or the Injectimate system. Allow to dwell20 minutes to 24 hours. Do not allow area to dry. Extract area thoroughly. For best results, use asubsurface extraction tool such as the Spot Lifter or Water Claw . Consider post application light spraying of treatedarea. Malodor Modifier will not contribute torapid re-soiling. Aromacide Deodorizer can beadded up to 1 part to 4 parts of Malodor Modifierto boost odor removal. Repeat procedure if necessary for persistent problems. Note: Do not use with hot water, bleach, disinfectants, antimicrobials, or harsh chemicals. Hydro-Force STONE, TILE ANDGROUT Cleaning ProceduresCLEANING PROCEDURESCLEANING PROCEDURESCLEANING PROCEDURESRoutine Daily or PeriodicMaintenance for Tile and StoneRestorative Cleaning for Tile andStone Floors and WallsAcid Cleaning for Tile & Grout1. Sweep or vacuum floor to removeparticle soils. An untreated microfiber dust mop is suggested.2. Mix Viper 7 according to labeldirections. Viper 7 can be used onany hard surface floor.3. Apply with mop. A Microfiber mopor a rayon mop with looped ends and sewn tailband is suggested.4. Heavily soiled areas may be agitated with groutbrush or floor machine, but this is seldom necessary with regular maintenance.5. Extract cleaning solution and soil with wet vacuumor clean mop.Used for heavier build-up of soil, especially greasy or oily soils, whenmore than routine cleaning isrequired.1. Sweep or vacuum floor to removeparticle soils. An untreated microfiber dust mop is suggested.2. Protect surfaces not being cleaned so that they arenot damaged by splashes or spills.3. Mix Viper Venom according to label directions.Dilution should be adjusted according to thedegree of soiling. Apply with sprayer or mop. Allowseveral minutes dwell time, but do not allow solution to dry on the floor.4. Grout lines may need to be agitated with a groutbrush.5. Use SX-12 to agitate, rinse and extract dirty solution all in one step. The SX-7 or the Gekko line ofaccessories will be helpful when cleaning countertops, walls, along edges and in tight places.6. After the floor has dried, proceed to instructions forsealing and protecting the surface.CLEANING PROCEDURESSEALING PROCEDURESMaintenance for CountertopsAll stone, grout and porous tile should be sealed usingan impregnating sealer to protect the surfaces whilepreserving the natural appearance.1. Sweep or vacuum floor to remove particle soils. Anuntreated microfiber dust mop is suggested.2. Protect surfaces not being sealed.3. For stone floors or porous tiles, apply an evencoat of Premium Stone & Grout Sealer using aslightly damp rayon mop, a roller or sprayer. For porcelain, glazed ceramic or other non-poroustiles, apply Premium Stone & Grout Sealer tothe grout lines only. There are a variety of tools tohelp you in this task. Any sealer that gets on thetile should be wiped off before it dries. For large areas of tile, spread the sealer using aclean moss rubber squeegee. This can be followedby a rotary floor machine fitted with a white pad. This will remove excess sealer and polish the tile.4. An optional second coat may be applied to porousstone after the first coat has dried.A safe, gentle process for removingeveryday soil and grime while alsoprotecting the surface and rejuvenating and preserving the high shine1. Spray the surface with a Viper 7mixed according to label directions.2. Wipe and clean the surface with aclean, white cotton cloth.3. Buff to a high shine with a cleandry cloth.CAUTION! Acid cleaning removes mineral deposits, soapscum, hard water deposits, urine stains, efflorescenceand rust. It can also remove other stubborn stainsfrom grout by actually removing a microscopic layer ofthe grout. Acid cleaning is most effective when it follows the restorative cleaning process described above.1. Sweep or vacuum floor to remove particle soils. Anuntreated microfiber dust mop is suggested.2. Protect surfaces not being cleaned so that they arenot damaged by splashes or spills. Metal surfaces, especially stainless steel may be etched by contactwith acid solution.3. Mix Viper Renew with equalparts HOT water. Apply withsprayer. Allow several minutesdwell time, but do not allow solution to dry on the floor.4. Grout lines may need to beagitated with a grout brush.5. Use SX-12 to agitate, rinse andextract dirty solution all in onestep. The SX-7 or the Gekko lineof accessories will be helpful whencleaning countertops, walls, alongedges and in tight places.6. Spray on a solution of ViperVenom diluted at 1 to 32. Thisstep is important to neutralize acidresidues.7. After the floor has dried, proceedto instructions for sealing andprotecting the surface.
