Heritage Lake CountryHeritage Newsletterz2975 Village Square Drive, Hartland, WI 53029 262-367-2975 heritagesenior.comLetter from the DirectorJune 2019Dear residents, families and friends,Keeping our residents safe is one of our main priorities. That’s why wehave recently rolled out a state-of-the-art nurse call system, whichuses iPhones to ensure residents get the proper assistance quickly.Kim BibbHere’s how it works: Heritage uses emergency call pendants,Executive Directorbed/chair/motion sensors, and door alarms to identify when aresident needs assistance. Before, those messages would go to staff’s pagers. Now, thosealerts are securely transmitted to iPhones, which allow staff to work with each other todetermine who is best able to answer the call. If there are two alerts, for instance, staff cannow identify which one they are attending to so both residents get help promptly. The iPhones also allow staff to securely communicate – like if they need additionalassistance or require a nurse to help evaluate a situation. And, by using PCC on theiriPhones, staff can now chart while working with the resident, ensuring prompt and accuratedetails. These changes are a great way for staff to maximize their time, while streamliningand improving care!Sincerely,Kim BibbResident Recognition: Rosemary BrickhamRosemary was born in Oshkosh and went to Oshkosh HighSchool.
