1967our history1971Charles Gates purchases 3,000 acres of land knownas the Cheyenne Mountain Ranch. His visionincludes a community of homes, shopping centers,restaurants, hotels, and areas for recreation.Gates Land Company selects Pete Dye as thearchitect to design and build our golf course.1973The Club opens 18 holes of golf arounda spring-fed lake, known as Curr Reservoir.1985Cheyenne Mountain Inn (now Resort) is built uphillfrom the Club as a signature destination andconference center.20132015The Club adds a 9,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art fitnesscenter facility and Alluvia Spa and Wellness Retreat. 4 million is poured into renovation of the golfcourse to include a new irrigation system & pumphouse, 11 new tees, 900,000 sq. ft. of sod, and 115new trees.2017Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, under the upscalebrand Dolce Hotels & Resorts, takes overmanagement of both the Club and Resort,investing 60 million into renovation.2018Renovation concludes on the original dining outletPineview Grille with a rebranded look and name:Gates Grille, to honor the vision of Charles Gates.2019The brand-new indoor pool facility opens witha 25-yard pool and waterslides. The 60 millionrenovation continues at both the Club and Resort.
