DRCC usesvehicle-to-vehicle distance control, which adjustsyour speed, to help you maintain a preset distancefrom vehicles ahead of you that are driving at aslower speed. DRCC uses a front-grille-mountedradar and an in-vehicle camera designed to detectvehicles and their distance. If a driver is travelingslower than you, or within your preset range, DRCCwill automatically slow your vehicle down withoutdeactivating cruise control. If DRCC determines youneed to slow down more, an audio and visual alertnotifies you and brakes are applied. When there’sno longer a vehicle driving slower than your setspeed in front of you, DRCC will then accelerateand regular cruise control will resume.
