Page 9The Mustang PrideTEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK RECAPIt is entirely possible that in addition to having an amazing team of teachers here at Prairie Creek Elementary, that we have the most amazing parents. Teacher Appreciation Week (TAW) was filled with heartfeltpraise for our hardworking teachers by students and parents alike. If the teachers didn't feel appreciatedby the yummy lunch you all prepared for them each day, they certainly felt the love in the 10-minute massage they received (courtesy of the PTO) from Joslin James, proprietor of Circle of Life Massage Therapy, who worked out some of the tension knots that have been building. Or perhaps the teachers felt most appreciated by the daily gifts and goodies given to them by their classes. At the very least, the teachers hadto have felt special when they walked up on the larger than life "PCES TEACHERS ROCK" sign byCardYourYard. At any rate, we hope that all of the teachers felt the love, in one form or another. We areever so thankful for all that you do, especially in light of the over-sized classes this year. Thank-you parents, for donating your time & energy to show your students teacher just how important he/she is andhow grateful you are! Thanks too for contributing to the week of gifts and special treats, we are lucky tohave such giving families!Special thanks go out to all of the Room Parents who organized the weeks events, from meal Sign-Up Genius distribution to collection for teacher gifts. Things certainly would NOT have gone as smoothly were itnot for our fabulous front office staff, Ms. Kuierra Swift and Ms. Sarah Geiter. Thank-you ladies for keeping the Room Parents organized, the incoming lunch fare separated and for being cheery all the while. You are both outstanding! Last but certainly not least, thanks to Kelly Northup, our fearless hospitalitycoordinator, who spent the better part of each day setting up, restocking and cleaning up after the dailyteacher lunches. Were it not for Kelly, you might not have gotten the right crock-pot returned to you and itcertainly wouldn't have been clean. Thank-you Kelly, for all of the time you devoted during TAW, it was amajor success.Join us at the upcoming PTO meeting on Monday, April 9th at 6:30 pm in the PCES library where we will betaking nominations for and voting on the PTO Board Member positions for the 2018/2019 school year.Positions include President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Teacher Liaison.Paraprofessional’s Day - April 11th
