AbundanceWhat Is The Law of Abundance? The Law of Abundance is an abiding principle of the Universe. It is thesimple fact that there is an unlimited Source of everything we need orcould ever want. This great abundance is already ours, infinitelyavailable to all of us.Anything that anyone can dream of they can manifest. Anything ispossible! With the Law of Abundance operating, the universe just keepsexpanding to include whatever we dream up all the time.“Whoever has will be given more, and he will have abundance”Matthew in the Holy ScripturesWhat this 2000 year old scripture is saying is if you are grateful you willbe given more, and you will have abundance.Life is supposed to be abundant. We are all meant to have theabundance of all our desires including joy, peace, happiness, love, andfinancial freedom. If you can practice abundance of gratitude in youreveryday life you will open up the doors of the universe and byuniversal energy you will attract all you desire. The life you are living today is a product of the thoughts and beliefsyou’ve focused on in the past. On this physical plane there is a buffer oftime between the summoning of creative energy and the manifestationof it. So the way to break the cycle of lack is to keep pouring attentioninto the other end of the spectrum: free flowing abundance.Page 5

Abundance is a feeling so the more you get in an abundance vibrationyou will experience it and you’ll begin to trust it.The more you can feel abundance by law the more abundance you willreceive. So if you want to bring abundance of anything into your lifeyou need to find a way to feel abundant and stay there! How do you get the law of abundance to work for you?One of the quickest ways to open the heart to The Law of Abundance isto think about what you are grateful for. Nothing opens the abundanceas fast as gratitude. When I get into a state of lack I get out a piece ofpaper and list things, people and experiences that I’m thankful for.Generally, what first appears on the paper are basic things: breathing, the sun, the ocean, green trees. Then come some fun things: applechips, my new lap top, wonderful friends, and my new shoes. Then, if Istay at it, deeper realizations of gratitude happen, such as gratitude forall the experiences I’ve had that have taught me something and openedme up to a deeper realization of Truth. This exercise can absolutely change your energy around fromcontracted to open and receiving. Try it!I am grateful for:Page 6

If the only prayer you said inyour whole life was, ‘thankyou,’ that would suffice.” —Meister EckhartPage 7

Hi, I am Tasha Chen and this is my StoryAfter building a successful franchise business from the ground up, theeconomy shifted and we were forced to sell the business, our financialfuture seemed uncertain and included the added stress of significantlosses in real estate investments. My self-esteem was at an all timeLOW and all my focus seemed to be on throwing the best pity party formyself that I could.I went into a deep state of depression, feeling overwhelmed by despair.I gained a significant amount of weight from eating to soothe mysorrows and as I looked around my life all I could see was the evidenceof how things had gone wrong and I had seemingly “failed”.Being in the Salon business was very challenging for me personally andprofessionally. I was thrust into leading employees with different valuesand work ethic than I was accustomed to. My natural desire to pleasetook over, but instead of being appreciated I was constantlydisappointed by poor job performance and what seemed like uncaringbehavior. I was hurt, frustrated and unhappy! I wanted OUT of thebusiness and saw all the less than desirable aspects of the business andspent all my waking hours complaining about how it was negativelyimpacting my finances, my life and that of my family. What I failed to see was that there were some good employees whocared deeply about the success of the business and us as people. Wedid have loyal and supportive customers. We were a new businessblazing trails in the marketplace and getting a significant amount ofcommunity support. The sales were there and the costs could bereduced. We did have some great locations and the list goes on. I hadPage 8

much to be grateful for, but missed the opportunity to put my focus onthose things and experienced a very unhappy time in my life as a result.Looking back at my life so far, and thinking of what I consider the“dark” days, it is very evident to me that there is a direct correlationbetween my unhappiness and my lack of gratitude. Had I focusedduring that time on what was present to be grateful for my experiencewould have been entirely different and so might have the eventualoutcome.I spent most of the time exhausted and even though from the outside Ilooked like I had it all “the successful husband, two beautiful children, friends” on the inside I wasn’t really living – I was feeling lonely andseeming to attract one problem after another. When I was introduced to the intense feeling of gratitude and how Icould use it my life changed. Since that day life has gotten easier andeasier and I am happier than I could have ever imagined. My energyincreased and things I had seen as a burden soon became my greatestblessings. My relationships became so much more meaningful and myheart was full of hope and love for the first time. The best part of understanding this law for me has been the ability tolook at seemingly negative life events and actually be grateful for them.I now understand that everything I experience in my life is part of myjourney and is necessary to take me to the BEST part of my life. I amthankful for the good and the bad. This has brought much neededpeace in my life, I no longer question the negative events but amthankful for what they taught me and then I made it through them. IPage 9

am grateful for how this experience will contribute in a positive way inmy future.Reflecting on my life prior to learning about the Law of Gratitude Irealize it wasn’t so much that I was ungrateful and unappreciative forthe blessings present in my life as much as I did not consider expressinggratefulness for them. I took things for granted, as if they had just“ARRIVED” in my life because I needed them, and missed thecorrelation between being thankful and opening up my connection toreceiving more.Like many people, I believe during this stage of my life I associated“Working hard” as the reason for acquiring the things that was presentin my life. I saw many of the things and circumstances in my life as adirect result of my own efforts and therefore it did not even occur tome that there was anyone to THANK but myself. My desire to write this book comes from a need to share with you myjourney to peace, joy, happiness, freedom, and an undeniable faith inbringing all good things into my life through the law of gratitude. Bychoosing to live this way I get to wake up every day full of gratitude forthe life I get to create that day! My intention is for you to feel myunwavering belief that by choosing to live with an abundance ofgratitude every moment of the day you can transform your life in sucha way that you will constantly be amazed at the good that comes intoyour life.Page 10

Develop an attitude ofgratitude, and give thanks foreverything that happens to you, knowing that every step forwardis a step toward achievingsomething bigger and betterthan your current situation.” —Brian TracyPage 11

What Is Gratitude?Gratitude, appreciation, thankfulness, or appreciation is a feeling orattitude in acknowledgment of a benefit that one has received or willreceive. Every language in the world has a way of saying “thank-you.”This is because gratitude is something that resides within each of us.Growing up in a very religious family I can remember always beingreminded to be grateful or to pray in thankfulness for meals---for me itwas more of a ritual than an understood expression of gratitude. Inever really connected the meaning behind what we were being told orasked to do.I do however remember having a complete appreciation for thesplendor of nature and would become so engrossed in enjoying a walkalong the beach it would seem like time had stood still for me. Iconsider my deep appreciation for the beauty of nature as my ownversion of expressing gratitude. As an adult with responsibilities I could see how I made the pressures oflife take me away from this state and I made less time to enjoy nature.I was “generally” thankful for the things in my life but certainly not at adeep level. Then there was having my daughter, a beautiful healthy baby .I wouldcry from love and gratitude for her in ways I couldn’t explain.Gratitude is a feeling that spontaneously emerges from within. However it is not simply an emotional response; it is a choice we make.It is choice we can make every second of everyday and when we choosePage 12

gratitude over ingratitude the studies show an increase in health, wealth, peace, and happiness.Appreciation is the recognition of what makes us feel grateful, and canbe expressed internally or externally. Gratitude often ignites acts ofgenerosity. The act of gratitude creates an opening that invites manyother positive feelings and experiences into our lives.Even with the fast pace of our lives we need to find a way to makegratitude a part of daily lives. Living a grateful life is essential for a lifewell lived. Through a conscious choice and sustained practice you candiscover how gratitude and all its related qualities – thankfulness, appreciation, compassion, generosity, grace and so many other positivestates can become part of your daily lives.Page 13

“Gratefulness is the key to ahappy life that we hold in ourhands, because if we are notgrateful, then no matter howmuch we have we will not behappy — because we will alwayswant to have something else orsomething more.” — BrotherDavid Steindl-RastPage 14

Law of GratitudeThe Law of Gratitude is one of the universal laws; the idea is that if youare genuinely thankful for something from the heart you will attractmore of the same effortlessly. This law is the most powerful forces onthe planet; it is secret behind getting everything you ever wanted inlife. As you focus on gratitude and think, speak, and feel gratitude, you aretransforming your energy frequency into one of the most powerful andhighest frequencies. Einstein proved that everything is energyincluding us. Your thoughts, feelings, and beliefs determine yourvibration and frequency of your energy. Gratitude attracts like energyof gratitude to it, so if you are feeling grateful you will be attractingmore things to be grateful for. You will magnetize an abundance ofpeople, events, and things that will bring all the good into your life.It is impossible to bring good into your life if you are feeling ungratefulfor what you have. Negative emotions cannot bring you what youwant. The feelings of “not enough” can block the good and abundanceyou are looking for. The negative things that happen in our life aresimply caused by turning away from all the good that is there. In order to make sense of this, it’s helpful to think about how you feltlast time you did something for somebody else; if the recipient of yourassistance reacted in a way that was grateful, acknowledging thecontribution that you’ve made to their well-being, then it’s likely thatyou felt quite positive about the whole experience, that you would beinclined to help out again. Conversely, if somebody is prone toPage 15

complaining about what they don’t have, if they’re always negative, then the likelihood of anybody wanting to help them is less. The idea behind the Law of Gratitude is that through showing thanksfor what you have at the moment, you create positive energy instead ofnegative energy and that positive energy draws to you the things thatyou want. If you think about what you don’t like such as “I don’t like myhusband”, “I don’t have any money”, “I don’t like my car” you attractmore of the same problems and experiences. If you think about what you are grateful for like “I love my life”, “I lovemy children”, “I love my dog” and “I had the best weekend” and yousincerely feel the gratitude, the law of attraction says you must attractmore of these experiences into your life. Just like magnets like attractslike and the more gratitude you have the more abundance you attract. It is Universal Law.By practicing the law of gratitude daily you can transform your life intototal joy. As you focus on sincere gratitude you will move yourfrequency to one of the most powerful frequencies there is, and allgood things will begin to appear in your life!"There is more hunger for love and appreciation in this world than forbread." - Mother Teresa, Winner of the Nobel Peace PrizeWe need to devote time and energy to the exercises that will help usrealize genuine gratitude, at first it may not feel entirely comfortablePage 16

They need to become who you are! Nomatter who you are or where you are at, gratitude can dissolve allnegativity in your life.Page 20

Gratitude is a feeling and the more you can feel it the more your lifewill change. The more you say and feel gratitude the more abundanceyou will receive. To attract good things in our life through the law of attraction we needto be in a higher vibration and having an attitude of gratitude is theperfect way to come into securing that. The whole power of mentaladjustment can be summed up with one word-gratitude-deep andprofound gratitude. If gratitude is strong and continuous – the thingsyou want will always be moving towards you.Gratitude is a great way to start your day to fill yourself with joy andbegin your day in a higher vibration. When you start your day beingthankful for all your blessings, more abundance will be brought to you.I have become so embodied in this habit that the first words that comeinto my head as I wake up are thank-you, thank-you, thank- you! It hasbecome so much a part of who I am that I can feel the power workingthroughout the day as events unfold and the first words that are alwayscoming to my mind are I am so grateful. This is a habit that we are allcapable of and if we want the abundance that is ours we need to makea priority. The more you use gratitude every day, the greater the abundance ofgood you will bring into your life. There are no limits to the abundanceyou can have in every area of your life. It is my wish for you to use thismagnetic power to attract the life of your dreams.Page 21

“Gratefulness is the key to ahappy life that we hold in ourhands, because if we are notgrateful, then no matter howmuch we have we will not behappy — because we will alwayswant to have something else orsomething more.” — BrotherDavid Steindl-RastPage 22

Get Rid of NegativityThe quickest way to get rid of the negativity in your life is to feelgrateful. You can’t complain or criticize when you are grateful. It isimpossible to feel sad or angry when you are grateful. So the quickestway to turn your life around is to feel and express gratitude. When you are taking things in your life for granted it is the same asbeing negative. If you are not appreciating your job, your relationships, your health then you unintentionally stopping the abundance flowingand bringing decrease to your life.By taking things for granted we start complaining. If you only showgratitude when things are going good we are pushing our dream lifeaway. By complaining about the weather, our job, the traffic, money, our health we will only get more things to complain about.Whatever is happening in our lives even if we want to label it as “bad”and cause ourselves sorrow and pain we have to remember we alwayshave a choice. In every circumstance and moment in our life we havetwo choices. We can choose the negative or the positive and begin tofind gratitude in the situation. YOU are the one who gets to choose. As you see complaining and being unappreciative in your life is onlyattracting more of the same we need to start today to find ways to begrateful in every situation including the things that are not going so wellin our life. I know at first this may seem difficult but when you beginyou will be able to see and feel the results as your life begins to changeand you attract more of the things you are grateful for.Page 23

For example let’s take my salon business if instead of complainingabout the employees and situation I had used the power of gratitude Icould have turned the situation around. Here are some examples ofwhat I could have said: I am so grateful that I have employees I am so thankful for the customers I do have I am thankful for the opportunity for owning my own business andthe community support I have I am so grateful for the money that is coming into my life. I am thankful for my relationships with the customers andemployees. I am grateful I am learning so much about owning a businessAs a result of my gratitude I could have turned this situation aroundand attracted more of the things I was grateful for instead of the thingsI was complaining about. All I had to do was practice the gratitude andmy life and things would have begun to change. By feeling andexpressing gratitude in your mind you have the power to effect outsidecircumstances.Let’s use another example let’s say you have a troubled relationshipwith your sister and you feel that no matter what you do you can’tmake it better you could start your list: I am so grateful that I have many successful relationships in mylife. I am thankful that I have a healthy sister that is capable of takingcare of herself.Page 24

I am grateful that I have a sister; many people never get theopportunity to have a loving sister. I am thankful for getting to live near my sister and get to talk toher every day. I am grateful my sister has children that I get to love. I am so thankful that I have so many great times with my sister. I am grateful my sister cares so much about me and loves mychildren.By expressing these heartfelt feelings the person has expressed withgratitude they will be able to change the relationship. By changing howyou feel about the relationship you change what you will attract fromthe relationship. And if you stay in gratitude the relationship willchange for the better. You will know that that gratitude is working by the way you feel. Byexpressing gratitude for any situation you should immediately begin tofeel better. When you feel better the situation will begin to improveand you will see the results. To get rid of any negative feeling you needto begin to pour gratitude on the situation and watch how you begin tofeel better.Exercise: Take any negative situation in your life that you would like tochange and write 5 things you are grateful about it. For the next few days stop yourself whenever you feel yourselfthinking or speaking anything negative and start finding ways towrite what your grateful for about it.Page 25

Both abundance and lack existsimultaneously in our lives, asparallel realities. It is always ourconscious choice which secretgarden we will tend when wechoose not to focus on what ismissing from our lives but aregrateful for the abundancethat’s present — love, health, family, friends, work, the joys ofnature and personal pursuitsthat bring us pleasure — thewasteland of illusion falls awayand we experience Heaven onearth.” –Sarah Ban BreathnachPage 26

7 Areas of Life to Practice GratitudeCreating an abundant life involves looking at these 7 areas and writingdown your dreams in each area. Write down all you really want in everyarea be specific and add all the details. When you get specific of whatyour desires are and write them down you will open up the flow andyou know what you will be able to receive as soon as you beginimplementing the habit of gratitude in your life?Being grateful can bring joy and harmony to every area of your life. Youcan use gratitude to attract specific things that you want in your life(the perfect health, relationship, car, abundance). The universe doesnot know if you are imagining or if they are real, so by giving heartfeltthanks for it now, you must attract those things to you.Health & FitnessYour physical well being is an absolutely essential part of how you feelabout life in general, unfortunately many of us neglect this basic needand allow self-sabotage through ungrateful behavior. Caring for yourbody is a primal duty that many of us fail in because we are alwayslooking to blame and excuse rather than find things to celebrate.I’m willing to bet that no matter how bad things are for you, you’ve stillgot a great deal to be thankful for, after all you’re reading this whichmeans you have the gift of sight. Just stop and think how amazing thatactually is for a moment, imagine someone taking it away. Check outsome of these negative behaviors and see how many you recognize orhave heard from yourself and others.Page 27

Change:“I hate being fat, I eat the same as all the others and still put on weight,it’s not fair!”“The gym is so boring, I can’t be bothered!”“I’m not rich; I can’t afford to eat well so there’s nothing I can do aboutit!”“Why am I the one that’s always sick? I wish I was well all the time.”To:“I’m grateful for the self-awareness that enables me to see that myexcess weight may damage my health”“I’m grateful for the opportunity to give my body the exercise it needsto be healthy”“I’m grateful that I never have to worry about not having enough foodto eat”“I’m grateful that there are medicines out there that can help me getbetter”“I’m thankful that there are people out there who care about my healthand well being”“Gratitude is a vaccine, an antitoxin, and an antiseptic.” —John Henry JowettPage 28

Exercise: Write down all the statements you normally say either to yourselfor out loud in relation to your health and fitness Transform each of these to a statement of gratefulness, this can’tbe just a token gesture, you have to really feel grateful forwhatever it is even if it’s just that you can breathe. Now you’ve had a chance to think, write some more statementsinto your “Beginning the habit” list, “I’m thankful that I have twoworking legs”, “I’m thankful that my arms are strong enough tocarry my groceries to the car”, really think about everythingyou’ve got to be grateful for regarding your health and fitness Now visualize your ideal condition in relation to health andfitness, write that down. The real power or gratitude is to use it totransform your situation to the one of your dreams. So if youwant better health or an improved bodily condition be specific onthe ways you want to improve and begin to be grateful now forbefore they actually appear, you will be sending out a frequencyto the universe that you already have those things. And by givingheartfelt thanks for it now you must attract those things to you.The amount you are grateful for your health is the amount your healthwill increase, and the amount you are ungrateful is the amount yourhealth will decrease. So by being grateful for your health you insurethat you receive more good health. Studies have shown that stress andtension increase diseases and people who practice gratitude heal fasterand live an average of seven years longer.Page 29
