Valvoline LIMITED WARRANTYValvoline filter products are warranted to their original purchaser to be free from defects in material andworkmanship for the duration of the original equipment recommended change interval and Valvoline hardparts (filters and hard parts are collectively referred to as, “Products”) are warranted to their original purchaserto be free from defects in material and workmanship for one (1) year from the later of the date of purchase orthe date of installation. This warranty covers properly installed or utilized Products, installed in vehicles ascataloged by the then applicable Valvoline product catalog (“Covered Products”). This warranty does notcover any Product that: a) has been subject to misuse, neglect, modification, negligence, accident or casualty;b) has been improperly installed; c) has been installed into an engine which is not referenced as a conformingapplication by the then applicable Valvoline catalog; d) has remained in service beyond the originalequipment recommended change interval; or e) has been used with a motor oil other than the viscosity andtype as recommended in the vehicle owner’s manual by the vehicle manufacturer.Any Covered Product which is determined by Valvoline to be defective will be replaced at no charge. In theevent of an engine or equipment failure directly caused by a Covered Product, Valvoline will provide thelesser of the: i) restoration of the engine or equipment to a condition equivalent to that existing just prior to thefailure or ii) cash payment of the fair market value of the vehicle.
