Technology & RoboticsTechnology 7: Semester long Students will engage in basic computer skillsStudents will have the opportunity to learn about 3D printing, graphics,robotics, & mixed mediaAfter completing one semester, students have the opportunity to participate inPNNRobotics 7: Semester long Students will explore engineering and programming through NTX LegoMindstormStudents will learn teamwork, the basics of robotics, engineering andprogramming conceptsRobotics 7B: Semester Long (*Mr. Baker’s Signature Required): Students who have had previous experience in RoboticsStudents will use NXT, Shphero and other devices to further theirunderstanding
STEAM Explorations 7 Semester long course Students will learn and actively use the Engineering Design Process tobring designs to life Students will be exposed to basic software, tools, and equipmentfound at the foundation of any CTE STEM (College & TechnicalEducation, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) Students will use tool such as CAD (computer-aided design), 3Dprinting, software design, Arduinos, coding, and other tools tomanufacture new products
Physical Education &HealthPhysical Education 7: Semester long Students will participate in team and individual sports (flag football,basketball, volleyball, floor hockey, badminton, lacrosse, softball, soccer,pickleball and fitness activities).Colorado State Standards for Physical Education, which include movementand skill development, fitness, knowledge needed for games and activities,prevention and risk management.Health 7: Semester long Health education builds students' knowledge, skills, and positive attitudesabout health.Students will learn about physical, mental/emotional and social health.This class motivates students to improve and maintain their health,prevent disease, and reduce risky behaviors.
Band & OrchestraBand 7 (Beginning): Year Long Students will learn to read music and play a flute, clarinet, trumpet, french horn,trombone, euphonium, or tuba.Students can provide their own instrument or rent one from the schoolBand II (Minimum of one year playing experience): Year Long Students will continue to play their chosen instrument from 6th grade band.Students’ grades will include performing at evening concertsStrings 7 (Beginning Orchestra): Year Long Students will learn to read music and play a violin, viola, cello, or bass.Students can provide their own instrument or rent one from the schoolIntermediate Orchestra 7 (Minimum of one year of experience): In this year-long course, students will continue to play their chosen instruments from6th grade stringsStudents will perform at evening concerts
