Her love of the “wonders of the natural world” led her to a major in BiologyEducation. A perfect fit for someone who taught her younger brother to read when she was nine and he was four! When asked about her greatest accomplishments, Ms. Deschnow starts with her marriage and children. The birth of her children were a defining moment in her life.Following family, she takes joy in having students tell her that they learned so much from her or that she was their favorite teacher. In her spare time, she pursues herinterests in reading books, her dogs and orchids.Reflecting upon her life, Ms. Deschnow talks about her mother, a nurse, by profession, who was giving and caring to all she touched in her life. Her mother also providedher with the wisdom to love without judging and to be kind. A final touching quality was her mom’s silliness. To this day, Ms. Deschnow finds it a huge compliment whensomeone tells her that she reminds them of her mother. When asked what her work life has taught her, Ms. Deschnow responds, “Be forgiving. Don’t take things personally, be patient, but most of all.laugh!”16510 Fishhawk Boulevard, Lithia, FL 33547 Randallptsa@gmail.com (813) 740-3900 http://randall.mysdhc.org/PTSA
